I always make it a point to visit Central Asian restaurants when I’m in New York, and Karavan Kebab truly stands out! The food was delicious and authentic — it really brought back the flavors of home. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and to top it all off, I randomly met a Tajik singer during my visit! Such a memorable experience. Highly recommend this place if you’re craving real Central Asian cuisine.
I liked the relaxed atmosphere and the hospitality of the owner and good prices.
I liked the Karavan salad,
samsa with meat,
tasty liver, flatbread,
and homemade potatoes with mushrooms.
However, the rice in the pilaf was undercooked. I would not recommend the pilaf.
The restaurant is good in its price category.
