Las time, the food was cold, the place was too cold, and the heating wasn't working. What a shame. It's one of my favorite places. It was very disappointing.

Food was good. Service was awful the first time every order was messed up. When I came the second time, after traveling for almost an hour with a reservation premade. They gave the table away and said the wait time for the next one was 45 min.

Order take out and always forget the dressing for the salad remember it's 3 orders but they say in the bag,but when we get home it's not there, and remember this was a $350 Order, then they say we delivered to you I'm sorry about this and then they don't bring it to, it's better to eat in the restaurant cause you will get everything you ordered there, really disappointed your take out service sucks,oh by way you guys say I'll bring to me to my house it never makes to the house ,thank you for your service, but you guys really sucks at service

I usually don’t leave reviews, but I feel this needs to be said. I ordered dark meat only and repeated it multiple times—at least five times—to make sure the order was correct. The staff even acknowledged it, so I trusted they understood. But every time, they still gave me white meat.
If there was an extra charge for dark meat, they could’ve simply told me. I would have paid it with no problem. Instead, nothing was mentioned, and the same mistake happened again and again. I even gave them three chances, hoping it was just a one-time mix-up, but nothing changed.
I really wanted to enjoy this place, but the lack of communication and attention to my order was disappointing. Never again!

If you're craving bold, authentic Peruvian flavors in Brooklyn, this place is an absolute must. We came around golden hour and were lucky enough to grab a table outdoors - the patio seating was super cozy and gave us the perfect view of the sunset while we ate.
We ordered the rotisserie chicken and it was insanely juicy and flavorful -- perfectly seasoned with that crispy skin you dream about. The lomo saltado was tender and full of that rich, savory stir-fry flavor you'd expect. For sides, we had both the yuca fries and regular fries --honestly couldn't pick a favorite. The yuca fries were crispy on the outside and soft inside, and the papas fritas were classic perfection.
The cocktails were another standout -- super refreshing with unique flavor combos (and you can feel them, too).
Definitely not watered down.
Service was amazing also!

Love this place, food and service are great (if the Tacu Tacu is on the menu order it without hesitation) and the cocktails are some of the best I've had. Another hidden food gem in Bensonhurst

Restaurantji Recommends
steak lomo intensely delicious with fries
quarter chicken rice and beans tasty combo
green sauce enhances food to next levels
skip the leche de tigre ceviche and pisco sour, both ok
all about the mains here
edit: 2 years later
had the lomo saltado, pescado frito, half chicken, leche de tigre
chicha, pisco sour
best were the drinks, they flip flopped around here
ice cream was huge and shareable btwrn 4

A cute little gem, looks like unassuming and gives kind of of hole in the wall vibes, but it was nothing short of spectacular!! Went with a bunch of friends so we were able to try a variety of options. I am a steak person and the skirt steak to me was SOOO good. It was perfectly cooked for me (I'm a medium rare girl) and it was PERFECT!! Everything was seasoned well and the green sauce. The green sauce needs its own review. I would get the skirt steak and the octopus dish again. The ceviche was also good and the meal sticks were also cooked to perfection in my opinion. Super tender 👌 😍 ❤️

La Chacra on Bath Avenue is a true Peruvian gem
Every dish at La Chacra tells a story. The flavors are bold, the portions are generous, and the experience is full of heart.
We started with the yuca frita, golden and crisp on the outside with a soft center. Paired with their bright yellow aji sauce, it set the tone for what followed. The ceviche mixto arrived next, piled high with fresh fish, calamari, shrimp, cancha, choclo, and thinly sliced red onions. The marinade was balanced and vibrant, with just enough heat and citrus to wake everything up.
The rotisserie chicken was outstanding. Juicy, deeply seasoned, and served with fluffy yellow rice and tender beans. Every element was done with care and skill.
The arroz chaufa came sizzling in a cast iron pan, loaded with beef, scrambled egg, scallions, and peppers. The wok flavor came through with each bite, and the dish held its heat and texture from start to finish.
Dessert was a whole new level. The lúcuma ice cream was smooth, slightly nutty, and completely unique. The flan was creamy with a deep caramel sauce, and the chocolate lava cake came topped with whipped cream, drizzled chocolate, and a cherry.
The space is lively but welcoming. Service is quick, and the staff is proud of what they serve. You can feel it.
La Chacra is more than a neighborhood spot. It is a celebration of Peruvian tradition with flavor that speaks for itself. Highly recommended
