Eating this place almost 30 year's. Never disappointed. Food is always fresh and very tasty. My favorite is a mondongo.

Portions are really big and good for the price. Everything is priced good. The chicken is really juicy and falls off the bone. Rice and beans are really good. The only complaint I had was in the delivery I ordered the plantains were burnt. Not a good burnt, it was the burnt that made the sweet plantain bitter. The restaurant is small. You can eat on the counter or take out (I've done both)

Absolute worst service every single time. No matter what! Every single time. They act like you are not even standing there. Don’t ever come here if you want to stay in a good mood.

Top notch food. Reminds me of getting food with my dad as a kid. In a 2 week span my family picked up food from La Isla 4 times.

In all honesty, what's left of this cuchifrito, isn't that good, in the 80s right up to 1995 the quality was off the charts, under new management, their favorite seasoning now is salt, no recao, cilantro, oregano or fresh garlic is used, its an insult to the Hispanic pallet, that have had great tasting food for decades. Its sad really, I lived in Williamsburg for 47 years so I know what I'm talking about. EL puente is the best, don't know if it's still open haven't been there in a couple of years.

Never getting take out from another place again! My friend and I went to La Isla on a Saturday night to grab some food to-go. We had the #1 combo (half a chicken, rice, and beans), sweet plantains, one potato croquette stuffed with meat, and pernil. Everything was delicious. The staff were so sweet and patient, and everything was super affordable. Without tip, the total came to about $22, and there was enough food for 3-4 people. I'm sure it won't be long until I'm back again!

I was sooooooooooo disappointed dried up pork, rice, alcapurrias, bacalaitos, relleno de papa. I paid $19 for what? Never again! Williamsburg has become gentrified. You must keep up with them. Their restaurants are popping.

I came here for lunch and got some rice and beans with the pork($10). Pork wasn't bad but could've been a little juicier. A good portion of rice and beans, but that's normal since it's so cheap. The place is clean and service was quick. Pay cash to avoid credit card fees that most places are now adding.

This restaurant is the worst! No matter when you order they do not have what is on their menu and then because of the one item they cancel your entire order. NEVER MET A RESTAURANT WHO DOES NOT want to make money! I certainly will never order here again, very unprofessional and not worth the aggravation.
