My wife and I had a good experience here. The only reason for knocking off a star is that the restaurant never brought out the risotto we ordered. With only two tables seated at the time, it was a surprising oversight; we were looking forward to tasting it. That said, the food we did get was excellent—we just didn't get all of it. The duck breast is highly recommended.

Our waitress was fabulous - made some great recs - steak frites, half order of veg risotto. Friendly, attentive. Food was delicious and love the lighting. So glad to have stopped in

Great atmosphere, great service, was totally ready for something special... And then the food was only pretty good. Not bad per se, just didn't match expectations.

The steaks were good (excellent demi glace on the hanger steak), the fish was nice if a bit under seasoned, the onion soup was good but nothing to write home about, the oysters were good.

The beef borgonion was very disappointing, however. Basically just some stewed beef in stock with carrots and undercooked mushrooms. Probably made in, perhaps, an hour rather than the time it takes to correctly layer the flavors of this dish. No tastes of red wine or lardons, no herbs to speak of. I mean, it was edible and all... But it wasn't even close to what I was expecting. Nothing deep, nothing interesting, just a stew, almost like a failed attempt at a classic Irish stew, sans Guinness.

The mashed potatoes that came with it were the standout of the evening: they were excellent. Which kindof describes things perfectly. Some hints (service, atmosphere, a couple fantastic sides) that this could be an excellent bistro, but the mains were only decent at their best. Bummer. I really wanted to like this place. :-(

A wonderful restaurant We've enjoyed our meals and our server remembered us on our second visit. The food is delicious. Not cheap, but by no means “pricey” Warm and intimate delicious dining as a French Brasserie should be!

I recommend the muscles, they were the star of the show. Cheese board was similar to what you would find on an airplane, and the atmosphere/service is just decent, but not entirely worth the prices.

My wife and I come here often for the escargot, mussels, hanger steak and a glass of wine. Great trusty neighborhood spot with french doors that stay open on warmer days too!

Absolutely wonderful meal! The chicken entree was particularly delicious and the staff was so welcoming. We will definitely be back.

My fiancé and I have wanted to go to this spot for years now and we finally made time on a chill Thursday after work and it was an incredible experience. There was plenty of open seating even near the window doors and the staff and ambiance made the welcoming for our reservation wonderful. The food options are nicely varied and the dishes we tried were great! I'd recommend the ratatouille, the hanger steak and risotto, and the beef bourguignon. The portions were decent for a light dinner and the food not overly heavy. The wine selection is extensive enough and affordable by the glass for a chill dining experience. We'd definitely go back again and again!

Had a romantic and delicious date night here the other week. The food was scrumptious, highly recommend the frisée salad and duck. On Saturday night they had a wonderful musician playing French standards, made for a perfect ambiance. We will definitely be going back and strongly encourage anyone in the area to check it out.

Every dish is wonderful, the service is excellent, and the restaurant is pretty. We sat outside on the side street, so the noise wasn't bad. Indoors they have lovely live music on Saturday nights.

Wonderful time, we feel like family every time with dine. There were some new items on the menu we got to try tonight that we loved (like the bouillabaisse and beef bourguignon) and the creme brûlée is always the perfect way to end the meal.

Food was excellent! Generous portions except for the leek confit appetizer. Service top notch.

We made reservations for the Valentines Day experience at Brasserie Le Mistral this year and were unfortunately disappointed with our experience. For $160pp before drinks, you would expect a romantic ambiance, but the back room that they showed us to was not what we expected. Service was good and I have nothing bad to say about our server, but for that kind of money, I would have expected something more professional. The food was good, we had the duck and the steak for our mains. The live music was great also, but I really think that Mistral was looking to squeeze as much money as they could from the night as we were all packed like sardines into the back room. We split a bottle of wine and our server was great in that respect. What really got me was the sticker shock of the $470 bill before tip, it just really didn't feel like that level of experience for that price. For $500 we really expected something more. Mistral would be great for a lunch or a casual dinner, but I wouldn't trust them with a romantic occasion next time around!

CLASSIC brasserie. If you like the timely dishes of steak au poivre, mussels, duck, etc. this is the THE place in the neighborhood. The ambience was perfect and the service was great. Saw lots of regulars come in and the staff knew everyone by name. Highly recommend.
