Some of the people there were downright rude. We had had no reservation, but we were second in line. However, one of the hostesses refused to give us a table when she gave several other parties that were behind us with no reservations tables. We were seated at the bar. I was also waiting for the bathroom near the front entrance, unaware that there were two other bathrooms. Two people working there had passed by me twice and were even talking about the bathrooms. Finally, one of the nice hostesses told me there were two other bathrooms where I didn’t have to wait. The food itself was alright, I’ve had much better Italian elsewhere. We got the scallops, focaccia, little gem salad, and rigatoni. The best part of the meal was the dessert. Our direct server and the people cleaning our plates were nice. Overall, very overhyped and not worth it.

i’m sad to say i don’t get the hype surrounding this restaurant. in the misi vs lilia battle i think misi wins! we started strong with the cacio e pepe frittelle and the focaccia which were both amazing. the clams were good but nothing too special. the pasta is where the downfall was. originally we ordered the agnolotti and the pappardelle. we sent both back, the pappardelle has no flavor and the agnolotti left a bitter taste in my mouth. we swapped our pastas out with the broccoli pesto gnocchi and the spaghetti with lemon. the gnocchi was so dry and also didn’t have much flavor, the spaghetti was my favorite of the four but also left something to be desired because there was pretty much no lemon flavor to it. i like the agnolotti better than the gnocchi or the pappardelle but i would not order any of the pastas again. as for dessert we ordered the chocolate torta and vanilla gelato. to me it was more vanilla soft serve than gelato but i’m not complaining about that because i love soft serve. it also did not taste like vanilla but rather like a cream which i am also not complaining about because it was good. the chocolate torta was not a torta it was literally just a slice of chocolate cake and i found it to be pretty dry and anticlimactic. the espresso cream that came with it however was AMAZING. i would take a bowl of that stuff! the service here seems like it can go in either direction. our server was not mean whatsoever but he was not attentive at all, he took our order and that was it. he did not explain the menu, any specials and he did not check on us to see if our food was ok. we spoke with a manager about our pasta changes and he never came to see if we liked the other options. the reason i say service can go either way is because the server at the table next to us was wonderful. she thoroughly explained the menu to that party and gave some recommendations, she had a lot of personality and checked on them multiple times. lastly for atmosphere it’s very pretty, definitely more rustic than misi which i enjoyed and it feels a little more welcoming. i still say to try this place because it is very possible they had an off night but because we tried so many pastas and were not impressed i would nog come back.

I’ve been dying to have dinner at this restaurant for more than a year. I sat at the bar. Last night and I had a view of the kitchen, and I was so excited to be there. The wait staff were polite and attentive except for the hostess.. I started with the braised cabbage salad. It looked promising on the plate, but fell flat in terms of flavor profiles. For the second course I had the scallops. The yogurt sauce that accompanied the dish was cold, and it brought down the temperature of the scallops. For the pasta, I had the lemon spaghetti, which had no lemon flavors whatsoever, Finally for dessert, I had olive cake which was dry and dense. I’ve had olive cake. many times this was not very good. Overall I believe the food could be better but not for the price and or location especially if you are not from the neighborhood..

Took a long walk on a beautiful day to try to get a reservation to this bucket list hot spot in Williamsburg and it was well worth it! Cozy converted space in an old auto body shop, with a wood fired grill oven, delicious pasta, carefully created cocktails and top service. The sheep’s milk cheese-filled agnolotti with a saffron-honey creamy sauce was out of this world. Tiny, tasty pillows of yumminess that melted in your mouth!!! House-made mozzarella was a perfect appetizer too! Fantastic dinner at price that will not break the bank #hollyshotspots

Three words : Caccio Pepe balls. Get a reservation or come right when doors open. A spot outside in the sun with wine is quintessential Brooklyn.

I booked this place a month in advance only to discover that it was massively overhyped. Asked for recommended red wine only for waiter to bring the most disappointing white wine I’ve ever tried. Food was ok but not great by any means. Tried several different pastas but there is much better pasta elsewhere at a lower price without needing to book a month in advance. Mid at best.

So damn good! went a friend and we shared all plates, they paced the dishes perfectly. everything was so good! we couldn't finish the lamb steak cause we were s full, so we took to go - best part was that they package it for you and dont bring the to go bag till after you've paid your bill so youre not just sitting there with an awkward paper bag on the plate. they pay attention to detail for service and it shows.

If you like peppery pasta, then you may like the mafaldini with peppercorn. I thought it was okay. The sheep's milk cheese filled agnolotti on the other hand was delicious! It had saffron on top and the sauce paired well with the cheese. I was very happy with this dish and would come back to have it again. I made a reservation for 4:15pm for 1 and was seated at the bar very close in between people. I would opt for finding a second person to come with next time and aim for non-bar seating.

Lilia in Brooklyn offers an unforgettable dining experience. The Vanilla Pudding Shots are a delightful twist on a classic dessert, blending smooth vanilla flavors with a playful presentation. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, perfect for a memorable meal with friends or a romantic evening out. Highly recommend!

Best Italian food I've ever had! Sheep's milk agnolotti, beet casunziei and focaccia are definitely a must! Can't wait to come back!

I dedicate this review to the man in front of us who tried to snag a walk-in table and was promptly told to come back at 9:40pm. In my opinion, Lilia is truly worth the hype (just depends on what you like and what you get). The sheep's milk agnoletti is one of the top five pasta dishes I've had in the city. If you love pouches of greatness that come in the form of filled pasta shapes, this is your go-to order. The after taste of honey made me a happy girl. The mafaldine was also spectacular and well worth it. Go for the lemon granita dessert if you want a light palate cleaner (this wouldn't be my first choice dessert, but the soft serve/gelato machine was broken and will continue to be out-of-service for the next few weeks, as of the time of this review). One of my favorite parts of this dining experience was getting to walk past the open kitchen, where a well-oiled machine of chefs are cutting out pasta shapes, stirring sauces, and making magic happen. I wasn't huge on the fried cacio e pepe balls. Maybe it's just me, but I found it to taste vaguely reminiscent of the Trader Joe's mac and cheese balls...but the latter have a more exciting texture/richer flavor...

We were very lucky to get seating at this very popular Italian restaurant. Food was AMAZING! There were no dishes that I didn't like or disappointed, this particular pasta "agnolotti" was beyond this world!! Service was impeccable, we'll definitely be back! (That's if we get lucky to get seating again. Lol)-
