This place is top notch in terms of quality of the product: the pastries were all delicious (bacon cheddar quiche, cranberry walnut danish, chocolate croissant), with the croissant being soft and buttery and flaky with the perfect baby log of chocolate perched on the inside edges. Everything is made on site, and the folks that work there are patient and helpful with any questions you may have. Best pastries in New York, and no that is not an exaggeration.
They recently got bought from the original owner though so not sure what’s gonna happen to the quality . . . Hopefully nothing changes.
They also have vegan options if you’re into that kind of thing, and a lovely back patio.

I've wanted to visit this bakery for five years but never made it to Brooklyn. I finally got the chance to go and bought a few pastries and a baguette. It was the best baguette I've ever had. I ate the entire thing on my way home from Brooklyn to the East Coast of Massachusetts. I'm not even ashamed.
