We had an amazing experience here this evening. The atmosphere was extremely relaxing and chill. The simple artistic decor creates a serene atmosphere. The food is delicious. We especially loved the beef tartar, duck, miso cod, milk bread, and shirt rib. Sticky toffee pudding was rich, but somewhat delicate. Cocktails were well balanced. Everyone was extremely attentive and the attention to detail made the entire experience one to cherish. I highly recommend this place. It's tucked away, but worth the trip. Looking forward to our next visit!

Tried Lingo in Greenpoint and it absolutely delivered. We shared the Japanese breakfast set with short rib—spectacular. The meat was incredibly tender and packed with flavor. The tomato miso soup was an unexpected but interesting twist, and even the little hot dog was a fun, tasty touch. The chicken sando was another highlight—crispy, juicy, and satisfying. And don’t sleep on the fries—they’re seriously addictive. Great meal all around. I’ll definitely be going back

My +1 and I sat at the bar and were recommended a few dishes by the nice & attentive bartenders from the menu — all of them were delicious. The hamachi appetizer is one of the best sashimi dishes I’ve ever had. We will definitely be back!

I visited around noon on a weekend and didn't need a reservation. They seated us right away. My friend and I each ordered the Japanese Breakfast Set ($28)--one with the cedar-wrapped shio koji arctic char, and the other with the grilled kalbi short rib. Both came with rice, tsukemono, miso soup, onsen egg, and seasonal vegetables. (There's also an optional salmon ikura add-on for $6.)

The space has a clean, rustic decor that I really loved. The portions were just right, and the food was delicious. It's a bit on the pricey side, but honestly worth it for the quality and experience. I'd definitely come back again.

Five star experience. Hidden away on a dead end block is this gem. We ordered 7 food items: Pickles, potato millefuille, cabbage, steak tartare, pate, duck, and rice. Each dish is executed so precisely that each bite tastes amazing. Rarely, do I not only want to come back again but I want to reorder all the same items as well as the rest of the menu. Best surprise restaurant in awhile.

We came on a Friday night and the restaurant was at capacity. Highly recommend getting a reservation in advance. The food was great! The bread was sooo warm and yummy! I also really liked the beef pie and the cod. The vibe of this place was also nice and it had good acoustics. It’s perfect for a date night or a group.

Sneaking up on being Williamsburg's best restaurant. Japanese fusion is very imaginative and delicious. Can be a little loud.

I came here for brunch one weekend and had a phenomenal meal. Located in Greenpoint, this restaurant is right near the water, and is vibrant and lively. Staff was lovely, but we did have an issue with the hostess. Our reservation was at 12pm, but after my friend was seated (she came a bit late), the hostess said that our table was needed back at 1pm. Although I understand that my friend was late, it was weird that they would only allow an hour of dining/seating. So, throughout our meal we were a bit worried, uncomfortable, and felt rushed.

Service aside, the food was amazing. We got the miso caramel pancakes and the beef pie with hokkaido milk bread (you have to order it separately). A perfect blend of sweet and savory brunch. The miso caramel pancakes come in a stack of two, but we just got the single stack to share. It was fluffy, a huge portion, and came with a scoop of ice cream on top. The beef pie was AMAZING, and paired so well with the hokkaido milk bread (which also came with sake butter). Would love to come back here for their dinner service.

I’ve been here twice and had a fantastic experience both times! Service was excellent and the food is really unique. The price point is a little high but it’s one of my favorite places to celebrate a special occasion.

Beef pot pie 💯💯

Left very disappointed, very overhyped and overpriced. Came for the viral pancakes and they were just okay and very sweet. Nothing really stood out to us. And I’m so sick of places charging almost $20 for a drink and it’s 3oz. I would not recommend.

The good: Excellent hospitality. The hamachi and seafood bouillabaisse udon (weekend only dish) were highlights of the evening. Cocktails were unique and well made.

The not so good: The potato mille feuille was well executed but bland. The beef pie, a total overhype. While the beef was tender, the curry was too watery and too sweet. It was also not accompanied by rice, a small bowl came at an extra cost ($5) honestly…kind of wild. The flan dessert was terrible.

Very cute restaurant - they actually have more seating than I was expecting in the back area, even a little patio. We had a reservation and they were busy when we arrived on a Saturday for lunch.

My friends who are locals brought us here - they had been for dinner a few times but never brunch.

We tried a few dishes to share - starting with two orders of the milk bread with butter which were amazing, you can never lose with some fresh bread.

We also tried the crispy rice which was with beef tartar today - this was delicious but for the price it was only two bites per person.

We had the beef pie, which was good with the curry flavor. Very good crust too, I found myself keeping trying to flake off pieces stuck to the edge of the pan at the end.

Last we tied the apple pancakes. These were the best item we tried. The apple was really well incorporated into the fluffy warm pancakes and the additional caramelized apples with the syrup and butter on top made this one of the top 3 pancakes I’ve ever had.

In summary I’d 100% recommend the pancakes.

If you like curry I’d recommend the pie - they offer white rice to go with this which we skipped but would be a great choice to soak up the curry (we wanted to walk away still with appetite to eat more food elsewhere, we did not leave full).
