My favourite place in all of Greenpoint.
We got the Aji egg Sando and tonkasu sando with melted cheese on top. Highly recommended to get both to share, because egg sando is cold and the other is warmed so it’s a great combo to eat together!
When the weather is nice, make sure to get seating at backyard where is very quiet and peaceful!
I got the chicken Katsu sandwich and it was delicious! Taku Sando is also very close to the water so you can take your sammich and eat it on a bench in the park while looking at the water if you don’t want to eat at the restaurant. Lovely experience.

Taku Sando offers delicious Japanese sandwiches. The Ton-Katsu Sando, made with soft and pillowy bread, is a popular choice. Ribbon Fries, a unique and tasty option, were a hit. The service is friendly and pretty fast, with staff who go above and beyond. The interior is nice, and there is also outdoor seating at the back, which is dog friendly. Prices are around $16 for a sandwich. Taku Sando is a great spot for Japanese sandwiches. The chicken katsu sando was so good with crispy fried chicken and soft, fresh milk bread. The pork and chicken katsu were the best some have had in the U.S. The milk bread was pillowy soft. They have a nice outdoor patio to sit and eat.
