“Ok, maybe I shouldn’t have picked marathon Sunday to finally hit up Frankel’s—it was packed! But what a great spot. I love their creative breakfast sandwich options, and the vibe was pure NYC energy. I got the pastrami, egg, and cheese on a challah bun, and it was exceptional. Perfectly balanced, rich, and just messy enough in the best way. 10 out of 10. I’ll definitely be back.“
“Smothered Mexican influenced sandwiches?! I mean.. it’s a yes from me. The bread is a wonderful French baguette that comes from another great spot in Williamsburg but you’ll have to ask them for their source I won’t spill it here. You can choose between 3 meats you want on your sandwich we picked chicken and spill the sandwich cause we also order nachos which were also great. I would give this place a visit I’ve never seen/had anything like it and it was very satisfying.“

“This place ended up being such a pleasant surprise. The menu had a really nice variety without feeling overwhelming — plenty of different meat cuts, cheeses, salads, sandwiches, and lighter options, so it felt easy to find something that matched whatever mood you’re in.
We started with the French onion soup, and it was honestly one of the better versions I’ve had in a while. The cheese on top was perfectly melted and flavorful without becoming too heavy, and the balance between the broth and onions was done really well. A lot of places overload the onions to the point where the soup loses its depth, but this one kept everything balanced and comforting.
We also ordered a panini-style baguette sandwich, which was fresh, crisp, and packed with flavor. The bread had a great texture, and the mix of vegetables paired really nicely with the vinaigrette and mustard dipping sauces. The sauces actually stood out because they added flavor without overpowering the sandwich itself.
The atmosphere made the whole experience even better. The bright interior, cozy setup, and French snacks lining the walls gave the restaurant a charming café feel that felt both casual and inviting. It had personality without trying too hard to be trendy.
Another highlight was the staff. Everyone was incredibly polite, patient, and genuinely helpful when it came to recommendations. Even with the place staying busy, the food came out surprisingly fast, which made the experience feel smooth from start to finish.
And the Nutella crepe absolutely lived up to expectations. They definitely didn’t hold back on the filling, and it made for a really satisfying dessert to end the meal.
The only small downside is that indoor seating is limited, so I could see it becoming crowded during peak hours. Still, between the quality of the food, the welcoming atmosphere, and the friendly service, it’s definitely a spot worth returning to.“

“We ordered a cheesesteak sandwich. Bread was fresh, wasn't oily at all and the melted cheese over meat was delish.
What captivated me more was the level of service for a sandwich store. All the workers were super NICE. My son had fun drawing on the chalkboard and was offered a free candy. Thank you for the hospitality. Will come back to try the other items on the menu.“

“Walked to Shelskys on a cold windy Brooklyn Friday afternoon, but when I say it was worth it....it was worth it. After about 5 min of browsing, we decided on the Tuna Salad, which is served with sliced jalapeños and a spicy shrimp paste. It's got some heat, but nothing a Mexican from Chicago cant handle! Everything you see is fresh, and you can taste it. Prices aren't cheap but sometimes you gotta treat yo self!!! 10/10!“

“Classic Brooklyn joint serving one of the best roast beef sandwiches in town! But I would have to say the western burger also packs a solid punch. You can’t go wrong with any of the items here honestly. But our go to’s are always the roast beef sandwich, western beef burger, crown fritters, chicken wings, and orangeade drink! You also have the option to put cheese on anything! If you have a young one, ask one of the cashiers for a free ballon. If happens to be your birthday, you get to spin the giant wheel for a chance to win $5-$20 prize for next time use. Also, if you spend more than $45 per order, you can get a free pizza. The inside dining area seems like it’s still stuck in the 1990s, but I’m fine with that!“

“Great local spot built from the ground up by locals! Great ambiance (esp with new outdoor seating section), genuinely friendly service, and food is 10/10. I ate half of the Philly hero for lunch and saved half for dinner. Highly recommend adding garlic aioli. My boyfriend ate half of the Turkey and Avocado. Delicious and filling without the mess. They rewrapped our heros for us to-go. Lovely neighborhood spot right next to Public House and historic Clinton Hill/ walking distance to Fort Greene Park and Downtown Brooklyn / Citypoint.“

“I live on Long Island and happened to be in Brooklyn for my son‘s basketball tournament googled a place to eat nearby and Jimmy’s came up as one of my closest locations so glad I went with this option that hero was amazing. One of the best heroes I’ve ever had. Everything was fresh bread was fresh salami was thin cut just like I like it. Service was quick. I came on a Sunday morning, so the parking was not that bad. Definitely a go to and I will keep coming back every time I visit Brooklyn.“

“My family loves visiting this restaurant. The staff are friendly and welcoming, always recognizing us even if it's been months between visits. The food is mouth-watering, with appropriate portions where you are well fed without being overstuffed. The ingredients are both fresh and local, and every bite is extremely satisfying. I highly enjoy the grain bowl in particular, but you can't go wrong with any of their menu. Please do yourself a favor and visit this gem!“

“I was craving for katsu sando and found the right place to have it. The bread was so fluffy and soft and pork katsu was so tender which went well with the sauce.
I also ordered fries with furikake but it wasn’t cooked well :(
It was so packed so I decided to order a takeout instead.“

“My first time here, some friends and I came for trivia on one of the most bitter cold nights in January.
The place was a haven from the bitter outdoors. The food was warm and hearty, service was kind and speedy, and the atmosphere was just perfect.
Great place to take some friends for a bite and a drink or two.“

“This place is truly under appreciated. We walked in thinking it was just going to have basic foods. Nothing visually matches in terms of it's appearance but the food is good. Wife and I stopped mid meal to leave this review. Also the cheese has a VERY NICE pull.
Highly recommend a egg, cheese and mushrooms on a brioche bun.“

“Visiting my kid who is a member and stopped in. He goes every morning for his coffee to-go on the way to work. Great business model…love the membership. Coffee was yum, pastries are good too! Barista was friendly but seemed a tad overwhelmed and maybe could use a little help. The only other comment I would have is get to know the first names of your members and regulars. That’s what separates a Community focused restaurant from a Starbucks.“

“A great little outpost on 7th Avenue...not necessarily authentic Vietnamese Banh Mi as the owners are not from Vietnam, but the sandwich with pulled chicken was quite good and the bread crusty. Nice people and staff and worth another visit when I'm in the area.“

“Overall a solid sandwich. Fresh ingredients. For me, the proportions were a little off. You can see from the photo they didn’t give much turkey, and the bread is very dense and the vast majority of the sandwich. I thought it was tasty but would like more protein and less bread for the price point ($20 for sandwich and a Poland spring). Staff was very friendly.“

“Fabulous shop and catering group! We have enjoyed several events catered by Campbell & Co. since their start up and they have always exceeded our expectations. It’s hard to say which we appreciate more, the fantastic food and cheese selection or their creative event displays. It is a pleasure to know that every detail will be attended to.“

“Best tuna in Williamsburg, with lot of mayonnaise!! (not like others that are putting little mayonnaise cuz it's expensive). And sandwiches are low priced (tuna sandwich is 6.50!), not like others that are charging for a tuna sandwich 9 or even 10 dollars..“

“They make a great sandwich, but their prices are getting out of hand. It’s almost $15.00 now for a medium sub. I went to get a sandwich the other day and decided to have made on a wrap and they still charge $ 15.00. So for now I’m making my sandwiches at home. Goodbye.“

“The baguette was amazing, but besides that the food tasted pretty bland…. I wanted to like this place more but to be frank… it’s just like other generic Asian tea spots…. Nothing on this menu really sticks out to me, yes there is Vietnamese sandwiches and dishes but it lacks any love aka proper seasoning, even the fish sauce to eat with the noodle dishes are bland. Prices were ok I guess. $2.50 for a can of Soda….“

We’ve done a lot of virtual sessions and this was by far the best. “OMG there is no better sandwich shop anywhere. We came here in the 60’s when the docks had bulk cargo. Between the truckers and the longshoremen it was packed between 11:30 and 1:00.
Never Ever had a bad sandwich or experience. The people that worked there were the very best.“
