“What an amazing place. I moved to LIC months ago and immediately identified that Culture Lab was a great community hub. From motorcycles to art work to comedy shows, they have it all, and they support it all. I loved it so much I became a volunteer. “I come here way more often than I’d like to admit. Excellent Banh Mi, I haven’t tried any of their desserts but they look good. The inside of the bakery is always very clean and the staff is attentive. I’ve tried almost all of the different Banh Mi options aside from the grilled chicken or shrimp. I really like the crispy flounder and you have the option to have it air fried which is great for me trying to eat healthy. The star of the sandwich is the veggies- crunchy and fresh also a big portion which I love. The bread is also always very fresh and crunchy. I work nearby so this is a great option for me. 11/12 per sandwich which isn’t that bad for the area. Highly recommended to try this place. The packaging is always very nice and neat. Can place an order for pick-up through Uber eats or the store directly. You can select your level of spiciness too which makes me feel that what I’m ordering is very authentic. Usually go for mild but medium is also good. Option of cilantro and/or harpoons in addition to what already comes on the sandwich.“

“I ordered a cake for my daughter’s 1st birthday. We exchanged a few emails finalizing the design, a Sesame Street themed cake based on a few reference photos I found. Not only was it decorated more beautifully than I imagined but it was the most delicious cake I’ve ever had - funfetti with vanilla creme. I had a last minute request for some cookies to give as favors and Hope saved the day with funfetti sugar cookies to match, also incredibly delicious. My new go-to bakery, Hope is an absolute dream to work with with!“

“There's a reason this place has been in business for over 100 years. Worth the trip to Red Hook just to eat a sandwich. Trust me and take my word for it, you will not find a better sandwich anywhere in New York City, Philadelphia, or probably even the whole East Coast. Again, worth a special trip. ?“

They know what they're doing and what they're talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food is stunning!! Some italian classics and some twists, amazing wines and for their prices it's 100% worth it.
