We ordered the Ribollita which was good, the MOZZARELLA DI BUFALA we did not like. The cold mozzarella cheese on a warm squash, the textures and temperature of the two foods didn’t taste great for us. The AL CONIGLIO pasta was our favourite, while the TARTUFONERO was not as great. The truffle flavour was overwhelming in the dish and it was a little dry. Food was okay , we didn’t love anything . Servers were friendly , it took a while for our main dishes to arrive after the appetizers but the atmosphere was nice so we didn’t mind the wait.

This review is based on one dining experience, so more research is in order. The trippa alla fiorentina was really good, as was the baccalà e ceci. The costata alla fiorentina, however, was a HUGE disappointment. We ordered medium-rare, it was served blue (less than rare) and cold. That's a costly mistake for the most expensive item on the menu, and shows a lack of care and attention. Shame on whoever was on the grill. Sent it back for some more heat, it came back, and we discovered it was tough and gristly, and very few bites were without a tough fight with connective tissue.

Considering what you are paying I think the food is kinda mid. The menu is definitely original, but some of it feels needlessly complex. I think other restaurants at comparable price in Brooklyn have better food and service. The decor is cool though.

This place has been a favorite since we found it years ago and never disappoints. One of the most authentically Italian places in brooklyn.

Ill make it simple and straight forward, place ambiance is superb! felt like youre in grandmas house, for real, somewhere in Italy though..we got 3 dishes, the tripe was fantastic, the simple pasta with rabbit meat, tender but nothing special (on the blander side), and then the little fillet of branzino cooked in parchment paper with onions and spinach that you can cook at home was meh.the vibe is good , but the food doesn't live up to the par.

We came here for the Valentine’s Day prix fixe menu and everything was super solid and delicious. Portion size was perfect (and I’m a big eater). Service was wonderful and attentive as well. Honestly it felt like we were in Italy, nothing on the menu or the experience was americanized.

My visit offered a mixed culinary journey. While some menu items were outstanding, others fell short of expectations. However, the redeeming factors were the remarkable wine selection and the mix of cocktails, which were nothing short of amazing. The expertise in curating both the wine list and cocktails showcased a commitment to elevated libations. If you're a fan of exceptional drinks and don't mind exploring menu options, this might still be worth a visit for its stellar beverages.the service was great and the ambiance was relaxing.

This place was incredibleAnyone we claims it to not be has no idea what they are talking about.I am a local who travels to Italy 5x a year and it was even better then being in Tuscany. I’m not even being dramatic. The ingredients were so fresh, made so well. This dinner was f-Ing amazing.

Restaurant board says different name. The board says Levis Drug Store. The food was not very exciting. We had ordered Fegatini (chicken liver), but it was bad in taste. We ordered two different pastas and pastas were okay. Overall it was an average experience.

3.5 stars: had a nice early weeknight dinner here. It's cozy inside and the folks working there are quite hospitable and happy to let you take your time and enjoy the food, drinks and company. The plum negroni was a fun twist on the usual, and though I probably wouldn't have more than one at a time, it was pretty good - just needed a quick stir before serving to make it colder. As for the food, we had a pretty minimalistic dinner, just two plates of pasta (the funghi and the buttera) and of course, the complimentary bread. Neither were mind-blowing but I liked the crispy bits of guanciale in the buttera, and the fact that it tasted like a carbonara but with tomato as well. A good option for when you can't decide between the a carbonara/cacio e pepe or a tomato-based pasta. I'd had lots of bread in my travels to Northern Italy so I knew not to expect the tastiest of bread, but I can at least say that it was fluffy and fresh tasting. They were also kind to give us a little homemade digestif at the end of the meal, which was interesting for sure! In general, a solid neighborhood pasta shop.
