This place merits a second visit to get the five stars. Our steak was perfect and mashed potatoes were literally creamy. The bacon made brussels sprouts were perfect!

Went in and place was half empty on Sat night. Wasn’t expecting the food to be this good. Brussels sprouts were cooked perfectly. Burrata came with what felt like old-oven bread and lightly dressed arugula. Crab cake was full of crab meat vs bread. My friend said it was best crab cake he ever had. Every plate was clean before picked up. On service, the waitress was very pleasant. Great stage in back which could be an amazing live music spot but apparently they only do on Mondays (not sure why only Mondays). Anyway, well done to the kitchen staff.

Lundy’s exceeded expectations. The atmosphere was nice, and the seafood was fresh and cooked perfectly. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We will be back!

I didn't think the original could be dupli cated. I was wrong. The quality of food, the service and the atmosphere was nothing short of wonderful. I look forward to going again.

Let me start by saying my partner really likes this spot aside from the fact that a number of the dishes were flawed. The service was very good. The decor is odd although the tables are nice and big. The place has wonderful acoustics! We could hear!
We both thought it was a 6/10 because of the food.
He loved the potential of the menu as in there were lots of things we think we'd love on it. I agree.
He loved the swordfish special
For apps, the best dish was the Rhode Island calamari. Nice and crispy in a toss of cherry peppers and two sauces.
The tomatoes in the heirloom salad were delicious with generous amounts of straciatella, but the unripe white peach was disappointment especially at the height of stone fruit season.
The clam bisque was highly recommended to us by friends who'd recently eaten there. It has a nice creamy texture but it lacked clam flavor.
My crab cake was gorgeous looking with lots of crab, but really salty and the remoulade sauce was also overly salty. Lundy's is old school with salt and pepper mills on the tables so customers can salt to their taste.
The onion rings were limp. They use nice, huge sweet onion rings, but they were not fried until crispy. The sauce was tasty.
The weirdest dish was the Lundy's potatoes. I'm a potato freak. I love them! I rarely find one I didn't like. These were strange tasting and wet. Not sure what they were going for. We're they supposed to be braised in sort of onion sauce? Not good.

We went there because of the name of the place and previous fond memories of the original Lundy’s in Sheepshead Bay where many of our group grew up. We later discovered that this restaurant had very little to do with the other place. It wasn’t owned by the other family, but they did serve steak, seafood and the signature biscuits (which were stingily distributed one per person).
The service was slow and heavy wooden tables were wobbling. When we asked to have something put under one of the table feet to even it out, they placed a napkin underneath, but when he saw that it still wobbled, he said, “that’s the best I can do.” We discovered on our own that we just needed to unfold the napkin a bit to make the table stop rocking.
The outside of the restaurant is also a dismal sight, but we had a large group and no time to change plans so we stuck it out. I thought that many of the dishes were very expensive, but I may be out of touch with current restaurant prices. Also, since we had such a large group, we reserved in advance so we did not have to wait to be seated, but we didn’t see many others coming in on this Saturday evening.
We will not be going to this restaurant again.

I came here with my family for my wife's birthday and it did not disappoint. My father always talked of the original lundys so when we heard they were opening in redhook we had to come. They start off with homemade biscuits which were delicious. Then for starters we got handbreaded fresh mozzarella, Rhode Island style calamari, cast iron colossal shrimp and deviled eggs with crab. Everything was delicious, but the Rhode island calamari was the standout. Then for the mains we did the crab cakes and the linguine with clams. They were both good but the linguine with clams was the best I've ever had outside of Italy and at least as good as what I had in Italy. We also had creamed spinach and mac and cheese as our sides which were both good. For dessert we had the cast iron cookie and the Huckleberry pie, both of which was good but the Huckleberry pie is something you don't see often and was absolutely delicious. The cocktails we had were tasty and strong. The vibe was old school upscale brooklyn and I loved it. We will definitely be back!

Happy Memories made at this lovely restaurant and we are still dreaming about our dinner and going back soon. A new favorite place to celebrate special occasions. We went for our wedding anniversary based on the recommendation of a friend, and as soon as we entered, we knew we had arrived at an extraordinary place. (Parking was pretty easy- we got a spot across the street on a beautiful summer Saturday evening.) Simultaneously elegant, charming and welcoming with a laid back vibe. The service was excellent and the staff was friendly, attentive, kind. Food and drinks arrived quickly though we did not feel rushed in any way. The cocktails were fun- I had the delightful Swedish fish- and I loved drinking out of the playful fish glass! Food was outstanding. The baked clams were incredible. For the entree, I enjoyed the crab cakes, the remoulade was scrumptious- I savored every bite. My husband ordered the surf and turf- everything cooked to perfection- we shared the creamed spinach and mashed potatoes as well- and so glad we did. We thought we were full until we saw the dessert menu. So decadent! Plan to return- this is a restaurant where you can bring children, (we noticed some families there) but equally wonderful for a date night or celebration. Bring someone you love here!
