I came to have my birthday brunch on Saturday the 21st & wanted to sit at the bar. They had a seat waiting for me and the bartender, Lindsay, greeted me with a warm birthday welcome and a glass of Prosecco. :)
To start, the drink with the rum and lemongrass was strong but also perfectly balanced. Really enjoyed that. She made me a gin cocktail, which I also loved and the prosecco was good!
Since I was by myself, I ordered the croquettes, the shrimp & their famous french toast. The shrimp?! ORDER 2 ORDERS OF IT, insanely flavorful and an underrated dish on their menu. I wanted to lick the place. I would have loved bread with it to dip in the leftover sauce ;)
Their french toast is now made with milkbread and what a smart choice!! DIVINE! Order that. They even put a candle in it for me - again, a small gesture that meant a lot.
Shout out to Lindsay who took great care of me. She was attentive but not in your face. And she makes a fantastic cocktail! Thanks, Lindsay ;) & the manager, I forget her name, she was also very lovely and kind.
I'd like to come back and try their dinner!!!

We had such a great time at madre!! The space is absolutely beautiful and although we were at a standard two person table in the middle of the restaurant we felt cozy & private enjoying our meal. We ate the octopus, lamb, potatoes for dinner and chocolate soufflé for dessert, everything was amazing and we left full. As others have mentioned the service is lovely and attentive without being overbearing or intrusive at all. Loved the music too, which was at the perfect volume to not hear other conversations but not too loud either. Will have to come back and try their cocktails next time!!

Disappointing experience trying to use the Red Dining Book here. We were excited to try this place, but they refused to honor the standard 'Buy 2 Entrees, deduct the 2nd (up to $30)' rule. They claimed they don't technically have 'entrees' on the menu, using a loophole to force us to order 3 dishes instead, only discounting the third one. It felt like a bait-and-switch. The food itself was just okay—nothing impressive—and the portions were very small for the price. Be careful if you're planning to use a dining coupon here; they might not honor it as written.

Food was phenomenal! Great vibes. Great servers. Took a bit for some courses to come out, so they may be slightly understaffed. 9/10 would recommend

Perfect visit! The food was incredible. I was in town visiting my son, and this was one of the must-stop spots on our food crawl. The French toast was outstanding, and the Wagyu burger was arguably the best burger I’ve ever had. I will absolutely be back—yes, I really do travel for great food.

A bit disappointed after hearing good things about Madre. We ordered 3 appetizers for 6 people at brunch. They were pretty miniscule. I almost didn't see the Madeline wrapped in a napkin. The eggs Benedict was a bit disappointing too. Instead of hollendaise sauce, seemed to be American cheese on it. Salmon was a very small portion. Maybe if they added some home fries on the side, would be more substantial. French toast although pretty, was basically a loaf of bread. Bloody Mary was a mistake to order here. Not a great value for what you spend.

It was a Sunday brunch, they have the happy hour beer, rose and more.
The restaurant is part of the hotel so you will enter thru the hotel entrance.
The atmosphere is bright with nice daylight, chill and not so crowded and noisy so it is perfect spot to catch up with friends and have a great weekend over wonderful meal.
We ordered the octopus and wagyu burger both are amazing. The octopus cook just right. Meaty not chewy, tender and plump. The burger is juicy and nice balanced

First & foremost, both the bartender HK & the waitress Francesca were absolutely lovely- personable & attentive without being overbearing. On top of the amazing service, the ambiance of the place is great and the food is top notch as well. I only tried the miso brussel sprouts & truffle croquettes but both were great. I also had the Formula One drink which was unique and tasty as well. Last but certainly not least, I had the soufflé which is 110% well worth the wait. I will definitely be back again, hopefully for their brunch!

We sampled nearly every item on the menu and loved it all, from the creative cocktails to the delicious appetizers, entrées, and desserts. We even ordered two of the chocolate soufflés to finish the night. It was a fun evening of great food and company in a trendy Greenpoint, Brooklyn restaurant.

Unfortunately host was extremely rude and decided to leave before trying food. Restaurant was almost empty at the time also
Edit for owner: rezy showed availability inside whilst we were sitting outside the restaurant (hence our frustration) we wanted to change to inside since an air conditioning unit was leaking on our table. We had a child / stroller with us, host also mentioned no space for stroller indoors. I can understand space may be limited but we were treated like second class citizens and I’ve never felt like that in restaurant elsewhere.

Insane insane meal and such good vibes. The staff are also nice and very knowledgeable
Stopped by on a weekend afternoon for a light brunch. Ordered two cocktails along with the hamachi and a salad, the cocktails were strong, and the food came out clean and delicious. Really enjoyed the whole vibe!

I’ve been wanting to come to MADRE for quite a some time so I finally snagged a reservation a few weeks before. First off, the vibe inside is so cool - I love how they used the lights to give an intimate yet fun vibe. The service was great and the food was good, just good however. The lamb chops were the best dish of the nights for us but tasted like good quality chops, nothing special. The flavors were okay but I wish they did more with the dishes. The drinks were strong which is a plus, you just need one for the evening. Not sure if I’d come back or recommend someone to come out of their way for a meal. Still a great place but the food was just okay.
