After leaving, a few blocks away, I was looking at my phone and tripped on the sidewalk. I did a very hard chin plant. I cut my chin badly and cracked a front tooth. My husband and I walked back to the cafe to get some ice. They were so kind. Out came their first aid kit, they give me an ice back, band aids, and bag of ice. They kept looking in the first aid kit to see what else they could give me to help. The staff kept saying it happens to everyone, which made me feel not so stupid. My chin and mouth really, really hurt but their kindness warmed my heart. I can't not THANK them enough for that. We took an Uber back to NJ ER where I got a stitch in my chin and inside my mouth (yes the tooth went thru my lip), I also need a new front tooth. Please make sure you go there! THANK-YOU, THANK-YOU. If you do go and know me please tell them I am doing great and everytime I get upset about my fall I just think about their kindness and my heart warms again! BTW I had 2 espresso martini that wasn't the reason I fell, LOL. They were great!

Love having another place in the neighborhood with good food. I was happy they had a vegan breakfast that was yummy, well seasoned, and decently priced. My partner enjoyed the bananas foster pancakes as well. Service was quick and friendly :)

I recently discovered Marte's Cafe, a wonderful new restaurant that opened just a block from my apartment. Don't let the name fool you – while it may sound like a simple cafe, Marte's Cafe offers so much more. The quality and craftsmanship of their dishes rival the best eateries in the heart of Park Slope.On my visit, I tried their Stuffed Avocado with Ribeye Steak and Shrimp. The presentation was stunning, with a colorful medley of fresh avocado, perfectly cooked steak and shrimp, and cleverly cut potato cubes that resemble croutons, all artfully arranged on the plate and garnished with a sprinkle of herbs.The flavors were just as impressive as the presentation. The avocado was creamy and ripe, providing a rich base for the savory steak and succulent shrimp. The ribeye was tender and juicy, with a nice char that complemented the cool, buttery avocado. The shrimp added a lovely sweetness and textural contrast. Served alongside were zesty dipping sauces that enhanced the dish with bright pops of flavor.What sets Marte's Cafe apart is not only the expert craftsmanship of their dishes but also the clean, fresh quality of the ingredients. After indulging in this delicious meal, I felt fully satisfied without any guilt, knowing that I had eaten food made with the utmost care and freshness.The warm and inviting atmosphere at Marte's Cafe is a testament to the owner and his wonderful staff. Opens at 8:00. Enjoyed relaxing breakfast with great cup of coffee and tasty bananas foster pancakes. My husband had BK breakfast and enjoyed the spicy potatoes that were crisply fried along with eggs, bacon and a delicious apple pastry. Great service, clean and full of light. Very cheery.

Been going here since it was Cafe Rose.. really rooting for this location! Came here today with a bleeding hand and empty stomach, Juan took right care of both. He brought out the cafe med kit and dressed my wound (dog bite), then brought me the absolute most delicious breakfast burrito ever. I was admittedly skeptical of the potatoes inside the burrito, but it works! The service here is top notch! When you walk in, the staff say "hello" and "nice to see you here!" - they've definitely taught me about how to make your customers feel welcome! (Compare to the bagel shop staff in beacon NY who don't even look at you when they mumble "it's gonna be a while" pointing to a table ) Thanks Juan, for the extra kindness and yummy food! Oh, and how can I forget the lovely Lavender Latte?!

Our group came across Marte’s Cafe because it was so close to the Green-Wood Cemetery. We were ten people, and they made space for us immediately. From the coffee to the meals, everything was fresh and delicious. Juan took excellent care of us and other customers, being friendly and professional to everyone. 10s across the board!!
