I love this place. I never leave reviews but this place deserves it. Everything is delicious and very nicely presented. Their enchiladas de mole is superb! They have very unique menu items while keeping it authentic. The staff is friendly, the bartender super knowledgeable about his mezcal.
If you're disappointed with NYC Mexican food, don't continue sleeping on Mesa Coyocan. It's gotta be the best Mexican food in this city. I grew up a lot closer to Mexico than most New Yorkers did, and the Mexican food in this city is endlessly (and surprisingly!) disappointing. We came here specifically for the Chile en Nogada, it’s September and in Mexico is the season to eat and prepare them, so we got nostalgic and wanted one.
