Had a great time there with my friend ! Their margaritas menu is insane so much choice ! The staff was very friendly ! the food was nice ! I had Tlacotle quesadillas, I love me some real guac !! Too many fake liquid guacs in these

The margaritas are where it's at!! Ask for the mezcal they have the best aged Mezcal adds an amazing smokey flavor from scratch no mix here.Also get the steak nachos and or Mole best I've ever had and I've had a lot.

I asked what kinda meat i can put in a quesadilla he told me no meat ... I rephrased my question he told me the price for steak as if I couldn't afford it . I asked for a steak quesadilla and he said flour or corn tortillas... i wanted to know the difference because no one has ever asked me that and he acted as if i was asking a lot of him. I asked again and he told me flour is flour and corn is corn . I walked out because he could explain clearly what i would be eating .

Stopped in at Mezcal's this past Sunday for lunch after an appointment in the area. I immediately liked the kitschy, bright decor and I was thrilled to know that I was in time for Happy Hour. My blood orange flavored, frozen margarita was tasty with a fair amount of buzz. The glass was cute, with a stem made to resemble a cactus. My appetizer of stuffed jalapeño peppers with shrimp, sour cream and cheese was really filling and served piping hot but it wasn't very flavorful. The cheese was super gooey which I can appreciate but the cook's at Mezcal's use cheese like it's a main ingredient. Overkill. I took my taco salad with chicken main course, to go. I wish I had inquired about the ingredients because they were not to my liking. I was hopeful for dark lettuce, sliced chicken and maybe jalapeños, topped with cheese and/or guac. Instead, I was served a lightly flaky bowl (the best part) with shredded chicken, bland black beans, pale iceberg lettuce, dull looking sliced tomatoes, peppers and onions. It was topped with sour cream and a very unexciting guac, I was truly dissatisfied.If I did return to Mezcal's it would be for a quick Happy Hour drink and the complimentary nachos and salsa which they forgot to mention that they offer.

Had so much fun here and I’m so happy to hear that. It’s still around in Carroll Gardens. Best liquid lunches of all times with my friends best margaritas only on the rocks. A lot of options for different Mexican dishes. Love the outdoor space in the back it was the best complete privacy and all of us could just sit back and joke around as we skipped work floor time. Good ole days
