I was really looking forward to enjoying some sushi, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t quite meet expectations. While the food especially the Califlower dish was absolutely delicious, the service was slow. We received our appetizers around 8:30pm, but our sushi didn’t arrive until 20 minutes later. Despite being told the kitchen was backed up, tables that arrived after us were served before we were. Our server was polite, but forgot one of our dishes, which added to the delay. They did offer a small gesture to make up for it, which we appreciated. Overall, great flavors but the wait and mix-ups took away from the experience.

Dropped in for an impromptu date night and it was perfect! Service was attentive, food came fast, and everything was delicious. I loved the kitade doko mushroom roll, hubby loved the ume kyu which has crispies! The seaweed salad was also surprising and different and yummy.
Also got to try the Kato Sake Works junmai which is made in Bushwick and tastes lovely.
Sadly they no longer have the vegan eel bomb, but we were plenty full and happy with everything we ordered. Will definitely be back!

This restaurant is Japanese owned and the sushi is excellent. My very picky Japanese family came to visit NYC and literally said “this fish is one of the highest quality fish I’ve had in the US” so it’s legit. This restaurant is going to be talked about with my family for a long time!
They use real wasabi. I am speechless!
Side note, please bring back the Hiroshima okonomiyaki 🙏

The okonomiyaki is really good, with a noodle that was firm yet slightly charred. The toppings all melded well. I didn't use any extra sauce as that would remove the balance of tasting the ingredients in the okonomiyaki. Highly recommend. The karaage was really good too, tender and salted well. Same for the edamame with the spicy garlic sauce. Highly recommend giving the edamame your own toss when it arrives, so you get more sauce on the edamame skin. The burger is forgettable, get other stuff instead.
The staff is super duper nice and the place is pretty cool, so I'd go back if I was in the area.

Dietary restrictions: It’s very clear what is gluten free. Staff was able to answer questions about dietary restrictions.
I will travel to bushwick just for this sushi. SO FRESH. SO SO GOOD. I have nothing else to say because it was literally so fresh. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend their hiroshima okonomiyaki, especially the gyu tama soba. Their seafood rolls were also great. We tried the spicy tuna, oyako, and futomaki. If you’re like me and don’t like fish eggs, skip the oyako which has ilura or fish eggs on top of the roll. You can also totally remove and eat the roll, which is what I did!
Overall, the tastes are quite authentic. Their Hiroshima yaki are on par or close to with what you’d actually get in Hiroshima city.

Don’t order the okonomiyaki if you go here. Went with friends and they brought this out so late everyone else had finished (so I took it to go). What’s worse is they said they would give me a discount and did not. I guess I should have checked the receipt but trusted them to be nice.
