The okonomiyaki is really good, with a noodle that was firm yet slightly charred. The toppings all melded well. I didn't use any extra sauce as that would remove the balance of tasting the ingredients in the okonomiyaki. Highly recommend. The karaage was really good too, tender and salted well. Same for the edamame with the spicy garlic sauce. Highly recommend giving the edamame your own toss when it arrives, so you get more sauce on the edamame skin. The burger is forgettable, get other stuff instead.

The staff is super duper nice and the place is pretty cool, so I'd go back if I was in the area.

Went with bunch of friends. The ramen is mediocre. Overpriced.

Highly recommend their hiroshima okonomiyaki, especially the gyu tama soba. Their seafood rolls were also great. We tried the spicy tuna, oyako, and futomaki.
If you’re like me and don’t like fish eggs, skip the oyako which has ilura or fish eggs on top of the roll. You can also totally remove and eat the roll, which is what I did!

Overall, the tastes are quite authentic. Their Hiroshima yaki are on par or close to with what you’d actually get in Hiroshima city.

Don’t order the okonomiyaki if you go here. Went with friends and they brought this out so late everyone else had finished (so I took it to go). What’s worse is they said they would give me a discount and did not. I guess I should have checked the receipt but trusted them to be nice.

The food was good. I have no complaints it just wasn’t amazing. I enjoyed the meal but I don’t think I’d personally seek it out or crave it. If someone else suggested it tho, I’d be down. One of those spotsThe sushi bombs were pretty good but sounded better than they tasted. Something was just missing. The spicy tuna roll was alright. Fresh but again not really flavorful. I know it’s a simple dish but stillThe karaage was juicy and crispy and the breading was seasoned but the actual meat was bland. So again it was actually really good just not great- like something’s missing. My favorite thing was the dipping sauce the karaage came with. So so good. Garlicky and nuanced. Now that’s the flavor balance and spark I wanted from the whole meal. The service was great and just the right amount of attentive.

This place has the freshest most delicious sushi I have ever had. I would spend my life savings on their scallop handroll.

Excellent Japanese restaurant! Conveniently located near the Morgan Avenue L train station. Atmosphere is cozy with three long tables occupying the dining room, making dining with big groups easy and the experience of dining next to strangers intimate.
Lighting is soft and warm, and the service staff is polite and professional.
Would recommend trying their hand rolls, the yellowtail and spicy tuna were both fresh and tasty, and come with not only the standard soy sauce but a unique ginger sauce that pairs well and is a different experience from typical hand roll flavor. The vegan gyoza were excellent and beat the reputation of vegan dishes being bland or boring. The miso ramen was hearty with good classic ramen toppings and can be made not spicy upon request. The dessert options are a matcha cake with chocolate ice cream with a fruit puree base , and one that changes daily that you must ask about.
Finally, the wait staff is very personable if you want to start a conversation! multiple members of their team completed my outfit which brought me joy. 5/5 wonderful dining experience.
