Such a cool place with a friendly staff and a lovely crowd the night we were there. It was a sold out event and I wish the dance floor was three or four times as big as it is, but everything else was exactly as I hoped for. Even with a full house the drinks came quickly and I loved the Tony Leungs.

I was really looking forward to coming here because I thought it'd be a great experience. I was really disappointed though. I don't understand why you have to pay a cover for really just a bar that also has a small dance area. I was expecting a lot more since you have to pay to get in. It's super crowded and there's people that know each other that would be great if they would welcome any new comers but instead it just feels cliquey. The dance area is pretty small and pretty dirty looking. Only good thing was the music but that really depends on what DJs there are that day. Drinks are okay but they have a small selection of cocktails to choose from.I really thought I'd be getting more. The place is nice and all but not enough the validate the trip to the area and especially the cover fee.

ive never left a review but every time i’m in nyc i go to moodring and thought about this moment from my last visit in 2022. obnoxious and wasted white girl with her white cohort in front of me in the line to get in randomly turns around looks me up and down and says ‘are you thai.’ im so unamused i just say no and nothing else because i don’t want her to feel better about just guessing my ethnicity (i’m filipino). she keeps turning around and saying i hate her i just fake smile and say don’t lead with that. nothing else to this story just i follow the owners on instagram and want them to know i wanted to use my asian privilege so bad to skip her in line and also not let her in. love you guys x

First 5 seconds into the venue and the bouncer started targeting my friend, we believe based on race. My friend had the 10 dollar cover in his hand and the bouncer accused him for trying to sneak in. We were in a big group and waiting for the rest to come inside. We were less than 5 feet away from the door. The bouncer starting getting into our faces and wouldn’t leave us alone even after we paid. He followed us around the entrance. He was extremely aggressive and wouldn’t let down, it was like he wanted to instigate a fight. We were sober and kept our cool while he kept yelling inches from our faces about NOTHING. I don’t know what he had to prove but it was one of the worst bar experiences I’ve had. The music was also wack. Worst 10 dollars I’ve ever spent.

This place smells terrible, just pushed around the whole time and i have pee anxiety and couldn't use the restroom cuz it's too many people in their with no bathroom door, had to go pee outside after being in line for long time. Just really ravey and like everyone's on molly or something. Just soulless people yuck. I left after paying 20 bucks to get in like 10 minutes. I thought outside maybe I'm just being too critical. So I go back in and then instantly remember why I left. Everyone dresses the same black leather edgy vibes. Kinda just trust fund babies pretending to be homeless. That's all goodnight.

Aesthetic on another level of creativity for a New York bar. Love the wallpaper and the painted mural collage light show of the ambience.the drinks were drinking drinking. I had several margaritas and don’t believe any were terrible. The vibe was incredibly inclusive and warm. Really enjoyed the expressiveness of the crowd and the diversity of the programming for the night.Best of all I enjoyed sitting out front with my friends eating tacos from the taco truck out front (dem tacos were bussin, like I’m about to go write another review because they were bussin bussin)either way go to MoodRing.

Went on a Thursday night and arrived around 10:30-11PM. Smoky room with red and green and blue lights in the dance room at the back. The light changes were kind of bad lowkey. It was disco night and the music was mid. The crowd was actually dancing at least and not just jumping or awkwardly moving ever so slightly. I still had a good time because I always have a good time dancing.The bathroom was good. Enjoyed the water in real cups instead of plastic ones. Too loud to talk indoors tbh. The outside seating tho it’s a little sketch and there is so much smoking going on—it gets in your nose.Spent $10 on the cover fee.
