3/29/24 back for a late lunch. We sat at the bar. Service was really good. I had the sausage app and the mushroom mac. Both very good and just the right amount.Early 2020: I've been here several times. The food is good and so is the service. Midweek happy hour is good as well.Had the smoked turkey sandwich, collard greens and cornbread. All good.I'll be back for more...

I had a 5:30 reservation but was not seated until after 6pm. No one apologized. Food was okay. I was honestly disappointed. Nowhere near as good as other barbecue chains like Mission, Famous Dave's. etc. Young management staff seemed over matched. It was a Friday night and March madness was at the Barclays Center but they just let people sit at tables long after done eating. Should have had an hour or hour and 15 minute limit to your meal or don't take reservations. Special events should have special rules.

YOU'RE OV IF YOU EVER COME HERE! I SAW A RAT AND FOOD MADE ME ILL!!While this place does offer decent food, it is OVERPRICED! The young man serving me was very nice and refilled my water frequently. I was sitting at my table and looked to the right to the seats at the corner and saw a rat CRAWLING on them, then promptly sneak into a little hole. The atmosphere is very boring and dry. The music is good sometimes however other times it is the worst most repetitive thing you'll ever hear. Over all: Would not recommend this place.P.s the French fries are not worth it! VERY DRY & LACK SEASONING!!!"SAVE YA MONEYS" - Ryan SwazeWheelchair accessibility: There is only stairs in this place. I saw a woman in a wheel chair glance at the restaurant with a hungry look in her eye then sigh and roll away when she saw there was no way for her to get in.

We were in NY this past weekend and thought to try the original location. I like the kop location way better. The food at the NY location was mediocre drinks were good though. Will I come back? Probably not.

Look. It's barbecue in NYC. By that metric, Morgan's easily ranks among the best in the city. Great whiskey list, too.

Having eaten here before I was already impressed by the menu, but the service was excellent, the bacon Mac & Cheese was fantastic & the pork bellies were exquisite...topped off my a great Prospect Punch!!!!

Overall a decent dining experience: the staff was friendly and attentive, the vibes were chill for a Friday night, and nothing was particularly bad. But that's the thing: this is NYC. You can't get by on "not bad". I had the brisket cheesesteak and it was overpriced and thoroughly underwhelming from a flavor standpoint. How you manage to make brisket underwhelming I have no idea. My date got the hamburger mac & cheese and was similarly underwhelmed: so much so that they didn't bother to finish it. With so many other great dining options (including Pecking House literally across the street and Dino BBQ not far away), I can't really recommend this one.

My girlfriend and I went here for restaurant week, and I have to say, this spot was well worth the trip from Queens. The price of the full meal for restaurant week was only $30 a person! Not bad for the quality of the food. Plus, the staff was very attentive, and the ambiance definitely gave the Texas BBQ vibe.Morgan’s is definitely one of the best BBQ spots I’ve been to since moving away from Texas. That said, I have only one complaint. The banana bread pudding was not to my taste. Which was very disappointing, because regular banana pudding is one of my all time favorite desserts. The bread pudding was really dense, and a bit hard to chew. Kinda felt rubbery. To be fair, my girlfriend thoroughly enjoyed it. So, it’s mostly just a personal preference thing. All in all, I’d very much recommend Morgan’s for a nice dinner or date night out in Brooklyn.

Went for Restaurant Week just to try it out. We're sold. Generous portions. Excellent house cocktails, huge bourbon list (I can't stand corn in my sour mash, but for those who do, it's impressive). It was a quiet Sunday, and both the owner and chef came out to ask how things were to help decide what would make it onto the regular menu. For us, all of it. Small, with exposed brick walls and stamped tin ceilings, with a solid blues playlist. We'll be back.

Morgan's was out of things that might have contributed to the meal. We entered the restaurant an hour after opening, but ribs with sauce were unavailable for another hour. We ordered the dry rub, and it was quite good, although we found the ribs quite fatty. We sought to order a beer but were told that our three choices were all out of stock. After we ordered a fourth, we canceled because it had not arrived by the time we finished eating.

It's one of the better BBQ places I've been to. It's a bit pricey but that's BBQ in NYC. The service is good and the location works for me. If you can't finish it get it to go and warm it in the oven. Still not able to finish what I ordered but still happy to have another go at it.
