Lived in the neighborhood for quite a while and I decided to try this place for the first time. I must say I wish I would have tried it sooner. It’s amazing!!! I will be returning.

The bagel I got was amazing! Perfectly warm and lightly toasted and the cheese was just slightly melted. I will be dreaming about this bagel from back home in NC and will make sure to return every time I'm back in the area.
*Update* ~ 5 months later, and it's just as good as I remembered. Sooooo good, and I am definitely coming back on this trip

Ungodly terrible bagels. They don't make the dough in house. Overpriced too. Better off going to a supermarket

You go in, order, eat, and leave. Nothing special about it the service other than it’s straightforward and efficient, and that’s enough. Solid food for sure. Pick up coffee from somewhere else.

So I’ve been cruising through my new neighborhood getting bagels from random bagel spots. I have gone to 2 so far and 1 was great if I can say the least… the other was like eating jail food served in a soiled pamper.
Nagels I must say is a good spot with tasty bagels.
I have no complaints with the shop and I’ll go there again soon for more, and thank you for the positive hospitality also!

I love it here!! Their veggie bagel is so delicious, I get it every time. But as someone who doesn’t eat pork I really wish they had turkey bacon🥲 would be 5/5 stars if they did

We wandered into this sweet little spot yesterday while visiting a relative. The young man taking our order was quite patient and pleasant as we were undecided what to order. The options all sounded good. We got The Jerusalem and a Sausage, Egg and Cheese. Delicious. Would definitely visit again when in Brooklyn. Go check them out!

Delicious bagels and interesting flavor combinations but the cream cheese is almost satire-level-skimpy. Compare this actual blue velvet to the press photo. Where’s that big dollop of blueberry CC!? Ended up going to another place and ordering a side of CC for this thing. $11 for two slices of bacon on a bagel, smh.
I had the whitefish bagel sandwich. Awesome!!! Beet and horseradish cream cheese and arugula - staff was nice and food was amazing. I was craving a bagel. The whitefish was soo good And the sandwich wasn't too big or messy. Just right. I'll be dreaming of this sandwich!

I'm struggling to understand why this place still around, bagel are always stale and taste like they are day old, which is not surprising consider the fact they don't make their own bagels or baked them in store.
This is not real bagel shop just a Scam. Just go to sofia bagels.

Everything is fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you want from a classic bagel shop—but what really stood out was the service.
One staff member in particular was absolutely crushing it: friendly, attentive, and somehow managing to juggle the register, food prep, and even bussing tables without missing a beat. You could tell they cared about the experience, not just the job. That kind of energy is rare and makes a difference.
Great bagels, great vibe, and outstanding service. I’ll definitely be back.

This is my neighborhood bagel spot. I had been wanting to try it out. Finally got the chance. It was delicious!
I tried the Blue Velvet. There are many interesting combinations though
The bagels were delicious, but their thickness overpowered the cream cheese, which melted too quickly. A bit more cream cheese would have created a better balance of flavors and texture.

The success of this bagel joint relies only on the constant parade of innocent fools walking down Tompkins... do not be one of them!! The bagels are so substandard and the atmosphere is equally depressing. They now have a sign out offering "low carb" bagels, which should be objectively horrifying to any new yorker! I will say, if they're scooping out their bagels now then at least you'll be getting less bagel, which in Nagle's case might actually be a blessing.

This is not a New York bagel shop. Bagels are not crusty on the outside and chewy on the inside, they’re more like the very bread-forward ones you can get at a grocery store. That said it was just alright.
I’m giving an extra star because the guy working the cash register was super nice, remembered everyone and their order and brought each out. He was also doing triple duty with takeout and restocking. Anyone who’s worked in food service could see he was killing it. As were the folks making the bagels, just two of them on a busy morning.
