Had a nice conversation with the friendly owners who are hands on the entire process providing limited ingredient fresh food. Well worth going out of the way to, as you can go grocery shopping there for cooked sides, biscuits, and deserts. I brought home peach cobbler and had fried chicken yams and Mac n cheese, all were cooked perfectly.
Can't wait to go back. The food was amazing. The hard part was deciding what to order. You want the entire menu. Our food was so good, we order food to go. Also, get the lemon cake!
This restaurant is a hidden gem in Bed-Stuy BK. The restaurant is very casual, and reminds me of a place I used to go to as a kid. Maybe they could update the restaurant, but I don't come here for the decor....I come for old school soul food, that's what they serve here. No fusion meals, or vegan nothing.
