We had haleem, naan, peyaju here. Yes, the mix is odd, but we wanted to sample. Food was decent. Naan was good and the haleem was just enough spicy/hot. The peyaju (lentil pakora, you might call it..) was tasty. They added crushed tomatoes in the lentil (daal) mix so the taste was slightly tangy, which made it a bit different than other places, but good. The prices were very reasonable. The waiter and the hostess were very welcoming. Our visit was short but I will go back and try their other offerings.

I ordered dinner from this Bangladeshi restaurant through Uber Eats, excited to try a variety of items from their menu. Unfortunately, one of the dishes I ordered—*Chittoy Pitha* never arrived. Since it was only around $3, I didn’t report it, but a missing item is still a noticeable setback for any restaurant.

The Jali Kebab (mutton wrapped in egg fritters) was just okay—the egg coating was falling apart, which took away from the experience. The sautéed vegetables were a bit oily, but they had that homestyle, lightly spiced Bengali flavor I was hoping for. I also tried khola jali pitha, similar to a plain dosa or crepe, which was enjoyable. The Gurer Sandesh was decent—very mildly sweet, and very simple one.

The Mughlai Paratha, however, was disappointing. Being from Kolkata, I’m used to a lighter, flakier version, but this one was overly thick, greasy, and heavy. The biggest letdown, though, was the chicken biryani. While I don’t mind Bangladeshi-style biryani being slightly oilier and more aromatic, one piece of chicken was clearly going bad—it smelled off, and I had to throw it out along with the rest of the dish. That made me question the freshness of the food overall.

For a restaurant, food safety is non-negotiable. If something isn’t fresh or has spoiled, it should never be sent to a customer. Sadly, this experience left me very disappointed, and I hope they take more care moving forward. I’m surely not going back.

Had a wonderful Lamb tali here. Spice level was right on point, not overwhelming but authentic and delicious. I love that they offer tali in a small size so I can enjoy when solo dining. Also got a dairy dessert that was delicious. Prices were fair and reasonable. They are nice people and take pride in their food, and the atmosphere is great. I highly recommend dining in!
