I came to Pane e vino a couple of years ago for my birthday and loved it. The food was great and the restaurant has a cute, cozy, and romantic feel. As soon as I walked into the restaurant tonight, it seemed like something was different. I was also worried because it was kind of empty for a Saturday night. Came here last night for a friend's birthday dinner. It was about 15 of us and they were able to accommodate us. It was a Friday night and they had a live salsa band playing. It was weird to see because it is a Italian restaurant but hey I love live music. I loved the back area. A nice place for a date night. The food was great. Why a five star ? To help pump them up to four so more people come. Pane is much better than it looks. Dressed as a regional Italian Resto much like the faux French bistros are, Pane is generic yet charming. Friendly staff take you through an affordable menu of Italian classics. Strong salads.
