We visited Pangat for popup thali for lunch and dining here felt like being welcomed into an intimate community feast, just like the traditional Pangat gatherings in India. The host brought everyone together in a warm, thoughtful, and truly authentic way.
The food was absolutely amazing—rich flavors, perfectly balanced spices, and dishes that tasted like they came straight from a home kitchen. We ordered Goat and Fish thalis while our kids had Chicken and Vegetarian thali. I highly recommend their goat and fish thalis.
The vibe was equally impressive: cozy, inviting, and full of positive energy. It’s rare to find a place that combines tradition, hospitality, and great food so effortlessly.
Highly recommend if you’re looking for something unique, soulful, and delicious. A true gem!

I ordered takeout because I live a bit out of the way, and as soon as I heard about this spot, I couldn’t wait to try it. I ordered the vada pav, spicy butter chicken, and a mango lassi — and overall, the food was fantastic.
As someone born in Mumbai, I’m constantly chasing good vada pav, my all-time favorite food — and they absolutely nailed it. The pav was soft and buttery, the batata vada was incredibly flavorful, and the gunpowder chutney had the perfect kick. A total flavor bomb and easily the standout of my order.
The main reason for the 4 stars is the butter chicken not coming with rice. This is the first time I’ve ever ordered curry from an Indian restaurant and not received rice with it. Since the dish wasn’t cheap and I wasn’t prepared to make rice at home, it was disappointing. I’m not sure if they forgot, but I’d strongly suggest including at least a small portion of rice with curry in the future.
That said, the butter chicken itself was excellent — probably the best I’ve had in a long time. Tangy, well-spiced, perfectly balanced, and not overly creamy the way many places make it.
The mango lassi was also yummy, pretty standard, though it didn’t come with a straw, which is another small detail worth improving for takeout orders.
Overall, the flavors were incredible, and I’d definitely order again — especially for that vada pav.

Delicious food and such kind servers! They went out of their way to check on gluten ingredients and offered to make dishes gluten free for us. They made us feel so welcome and it felt very personal.

Small menu (which I think is a plus because everything tastes freshly prepared). Everything I’ve tried has been delicious with unique and fragrant spices. Not your typical northern Indian/Punjabi menu. Great addition to the neighborhood.
It’s absolutely no surprise to me that this brand-new restaurant has already accumulated so many great reviews. I first learned about it because it catered my foodie Indian friend’s Diwali party, and from the very first bite, I knew this would be my new go-to spot for Indian food.
A few dishes worth highlighting:
1. Butter Chicken – The chicken is incredibly tender and juicy, and the sauce is creamy, nutty, and perfectly balanced. It’s honestly the best butter chicken I’ve ever had. I’d recommend ordering it mild, even if you enjoy spice, so you can really appreciate the layers of flavor.
2. Chili Paneer – I believe this is an Indo-Chinese dish, somewhat reminiscent of mapo tofu but with paneer and with the incredible flavor of double-cooked pork (it’s another Chinese dish). It’s beautifully executed — the creamy texture of the paneer adds real depth and richness to the dish. It goes really well with rice and I can’t wait to have it again.
While waiting for our pickup order, I had the chance to speak with the owner, who is genuinely passionate about food and innovation. The wait was a bit longer than expected, but that’s because almost everything is made fresh to order. In an era when so many restaurants cut corners, it’s refreshing to meet someone dedicated to delivering top-quality food at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

The taste of the cuisine was really flavorful and freshly made. The Silver Pomfret Rava Fry was nicely seasoned and fried on the outside while still being fresh and moist on the inside. I can see why the Misal Pav is a favorite item here. It has a wonderful taste and spicy kick to it that comes off just right without overpowering the lentils. Overall I was really happy with our meal and would definitely be returning to try some of the other dishes on menu.
