It was a good cream puff, but it was not a $9.64 cream puff. It is the same quality as international supermarket near by, with a little decoration on top. At this price point, it should at least be filled fresh, not just soggy prefilled shell. Not worth the price.

I was going to let it go. But the more I think about it, the more upset I am, so here it is.I saw the google review that it has 4.5 stars and it has great pictures, so I decided give it a try for my first date. However, the experience was horrible! Let me summarize it in the following bullet points:1. Took over 30 mins to deliver my order (dine in). Staff forgot.2. I was further upset that they did not deliver what I ordered (chestnut tart and Hoji-cha crepe cake) as they ran out. But tey were there when I ordered.3. The cakes were completely frozen like ice (see attached images. I know its hard to see it being frozen but I tried my best). These two cakes costed me $20. With $20, I can get MUCH better quality somewhere else.Above 3 items totally ruined my date and she left with no words (see 2nd image). Definitely won't come again.

Decent sized spot, with quick service and some limited seating. The counter spots were for the dessert tasting menu only, which we didn’t do.However, the sesame dacquoise was delicious! The yuzu mousse was decent, as were the iced latte/americano we got.Would definitely come back to try the other desserts.

It’s really delicious and beautiful. They are all freshly made and taste great. I especially like the green one that was made at the end. It’s a great dessert shop.

This place is hands down the best bakery in the area! Cant go wrong with anything you order! Highly recommend the tasting course as well (&you can split it between two people).

I had 2 pastries (puff and strawberry mousse cake) takeouts and ordered one matcha. The dessert was amazing but the service was on the opposite side…sorry to say surprisingly no Japanese hospitality at all(But I will go again only for the dessert ?).

Food was good, and the staffs were nice. There were no instructions or menus at the counter, which might lead to confusion.

Cakes themselves were fine. They aren't particularly sweet for American standards and are more on the light/airy side so they are more akin to Japanese desserts. If you are looking for a dense, creamy, sweet cheesecake for example, I would look elsewhere. Comparing to Japanese standards though the cakes are just...standard? Maybe the high reviews are because Americans feel this type of place is different to what they are used to...but the cakes are just...baseline what I would expect from an out of the way cafe in a non major city, not a popular cafe in a major city. Like if Lexington Kentucky had a best Japanese cake ranking this place would be third. Just your everyday...fine, average, mid, 3 stars. What really brings this review down is the poor service and atmosphere if you are going for just a slice of cake and coffee. The man at the register isn't particularly friendly or helpful so if you are expecting Japanese hospitality this isn't it.Not entirely sure why we can't sit at the counter either, it isn't like there are 3 hour lines to sit there on a Thursday afternoon. They force you to one of two corners of the room that have tiny crates to sit on and shin-level tables. So you are "enjoying" their cake and cafe experience on paper plates, using plastic forks, drinking from a paper cup, and sitting on a box lol.The positive reviews for this place must be those that committed to the tasting menu. They are probably nicer to you and give actual utensils then because you spend more money. However, if you wanted a place to relax and chat over a slice of cake there are better Japanese/Asian cafes in the city.

Came in as two for a quick slice and the service was awful. No one else was in the cafe but unless you order their tasting menu you cannot sit at the counter. We were forced into a corner with a tiny blue table that was knee height SITTING down. Basically bending down to eat like dogs.Oh also you get one Obon (tray) for two slices so one person had to finish eating first to hand over the obon to your other party. What kind of cafe prides itself in having terrible seating options? How do you enjoy cake here like that? The cake itself tasted fine though, just know you aren't particularly welcome to eat a la carte there.
