The food was creative and beautiful! It’s a limited menu but what they do is a delight! It’s just a small bar setting so you see them creating your dishes. It’s a bit of a hole in the wall and not something you might just find. I highly, highly recommend!

Absolutely perfect tasting menu. Best we've ever had. Wine pairings and all. This is a truly hidden gem in DUMBO. The wagyu beef course was otherworldly. And wait til you try the "pre" dessert. So very good.

Best Tasting Menu Value in New York. We are big foodies. This restaurant is awesome. Each dish was absolutely beautiful and you can see the love and care in every course. They paid attention to every detail. The service is top notch and the chef explained each course. This restaurant is a complete delight. Would highly recommend!

Came here for the Valentine’s Day prix fixe menu and was really looking forward to an intimate date night as all seating is at the chef counter. While the ambiance and service were lovely and the food was plated beautifully, the flavor of the food was underwhelming. The raw items (oysters and tuna crudo) were delicious, but the cooked dishes lacked depth of flavor. The scallops were sweet, the halibut was buttery, and the duck breast was meaty. Although everything was cooked with skill, I was hoping for a more exciting flavor profile at this price point. More than $300 later, I unfortunately left hungry. This was clearly a raw bar.

My boyfriend booked this place for dinner and I have to say it was a very good pick. And I have to say you CANNOT judge a book by its cover.

If you’re just looking at the pictures you’re probably thinking: WOW this is a fancy intimate place. But when you walk in there’s loud music playing which TBH was very different but it fit in with the whole atmosphere and reflected the personality of the owner.

The food was really good. They have A La Carte menu but they also have a tasting menu (which I would highly recommend - but make sure you’re not rushing to anything like we did because they take their time making the food and plating).

I’m assuming their tasting menu changes every once in a while because the introduction of each dish was not scripted at all. Even if you don’t go for the tasting menu you HAVE to order their scallop and PB&J. You’re thinking why PB&J? Because it’s mixed with Foie Gras which brought it to a next level. Absolutely delicious.

I highly recommend trying this place out. And I hope they get more attention. For a place like this to not be booked out on a Sunday night is pretty sad. They should get more attention than this!!!!!

I rarely leave feedback, but our experience was lackluster despite our high hopes.

We dined at Pearl Street Supper Club to partake in their 8 course tasting menu with wine pairing and left feeling unengaged and uninspired. The chef and sous chef did nothing to engage us during our meal, apart from introducing the dishes. Chef John spoke with the other 5 patrons and left us at the corner for the overall duration of the meal without engaging in any conversation or discourse about the dish, etc.

Given the intimate setting of approximately 10 covers, we expected a more engaging dining experience — especially considering the rest of the patrons were being actively engaged in discourse about the meal, their life, etc. We are not new to experiences like this and enjoy conversing with chefs and restaurant staff to learn about their process and share life experiences. I have to say, we left feeling unconsidered and cast aside.

For the future, we would recommend that chef John and his sous chef take an interest in ALL of their patrons. Given the intimate setting and the price point of the meal ($400+/2P) your patrons are looking for a personal connection to you and the food.

So, I googled best restaurant in Dumbo and Pearl Street Raw Bar and Restaurant popped up. Fabulous experience. I chose the tasting menu and every dish was superbly presented and tasted freshly caught. A couple of standouts- the scallops with cauliflower purée ( I know! Random combo but just perfect) and the foie gras one with a bit of a peanut fling ( again, a surprising flavour match that I loved). The chefs had panache, great conversation and… the wines were amazing as well. Thank you. Wishing you every success.

I’ve been here 4 times since it opened in 2022 and Pearl Street remains consistently amazing! Great food, great wine, great staff, great vibe.

I love that it’s small and intimate seating with a great view of the food prepped in front of you with a very petite makeshift kitchen making it such a unique dining experience.

I’ve taken all my immediate family members who have visited from out of town - who typically seek dining at Michelin Guide restaurants - all have loved this place as much as I do.

Hands down the best prepared scallops I’ve had.
Chef’s tasting menu is 100% worth it.
Pickled veggies served with the fondue were mind blowing for me.
Love that the ingredients are carefully and locally sourced.

I visited Pearl Street Raw Bar & Restaurant over Thanksgiving weekend with a friend who discovered it through a Reddit thread on the best value tasting menus — and wow, what a find! From the moment we walked in, we were met with warmth, genuine hospitality, and an impressive depth of knowledge from the entire staff. It’s rare to encounter a team that’s so passionate about what they do, and it showed in every detail.

But let me tell you — as incredible as the service was, the true star was the food. Each dish was a work of art, prepared with thought, precision, and heart. I’m still daydreaming about many of the plates weeks later, but the PB&J with foie gras? Pure genius. It was the kind of flavor experience that stays with you long after the meal is over.

The intimate, cozy space fosters connection — with the people you’re dining with, the staff, and even other patrons. It felt like being part of a shared experience rather than just a meal. And as a music lover, I have to shout out their playlist. It set the perfect vibe, enhancing an already magical atmosphere.

If you’re considering going, stop thinking and just go. Pearl Street Raw Bar isn’t just a restaurant — it’s an experience you’ll be raving about long after you leave. 10/10, highly recommend, and I can’t wait to return!

Best Meal I had in a while. Pearl Street delivers in every way. Chefs are very professional and very friendly when it comes to explaining the dishes, Charlie who greets you at the beginning has a good knowledge about wine and she provides a warm experience. Will return again for sure . Dumbo is lucky to have this place

Chef John has created something special with this intimate dining experience. The environment and getting to chat with the chef makes for a uniquely personal fine dining evening.

Chef John was also able to exceed expectations for a vegetarian adaptation of his menu; this is a great option for small - medium groups with vegetarian diners.

Went here for my wife’s birthday as a surprise and had no preconceptions of what type of place it would be but wanted to give it a try. Wonderful place with great food in a super intimate setting. The chefs and staff were all friendly and great. We got the tasting menu which had a nice range of creative and familiar foods with unique takes that I’m sure many would enjoy. Highly recommend and look forward to seeing this place get more popular.

We had one of the best dinners ever!
Pearl Street is an intimate spot with counter seating only. The bonus of this is getting to watch their amazing chefs work. The food is so delicious! Sharing is a must as you will want to try a variety of items. Everything is fresh and unique.
Great food, wine and staff!
