Generous portions and delicious, cooked to perfection.\nNot cheap but you won’t leave hungry, I seldom eat steak outside as you can usually do as well at home for a lot less but this is an institution you shouldn’t miss
Classic steakhouse aesthetic, long time fixture in New York’s dining scene. Has the feel of an old timey German pub. They’re known for the steaks (which are just ok) but their finest work is actually their burgers during lunch service! Bacon cheeseburgers come with a thick slice of smokey homemade bacon. The food was amazing! The steak was so tender and we had 2 different salads which were wonderful, German has browns and mushrooms all excellent. We drove to Brooklyn from Westchester and we were able to park in the free lot across from the restaurant. That was great! We were a little early so we had cocktails at the bar. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and our dinner server couldn't have been nicer. Overall an excellent experience
