Some of the other longstanding Greenpoint Polish restaurants have had a select few vegan options for a long time, but sadly many of them have been closing over recent years due to displacement in the neighborhood. Pierozek has a really friendly vibe, and also takes further care to label all their vegan options. As a person with Polish heritage who grew up eating some non-veg cultural dishes, it's so nice to enjoy a few classics from my childhood again! The stuffed cabbage...
Pierozek is one of my favorite polish spots in the neighborhood. The food is consistently great and their servers are always patient and friendly. It’s awesome they do local collabs on pierogis. Solid vodka selection. The interior is adorable and warm. Their weekend special grill bowl is my favorite on the menu. In the warmer months, their back patio space is quiet and chill.
