We really enjoyed our meal here. We found this place by coincidence, but will definitely come back. The vegetable dishes are super fresh and all mains are very well composed. The desert to get is the pancake soufflé, it’s too good.

I’m only giving any stars because of our very sweet server and the rest of the staff, who are clearly trying their best within this mess of a restaurant.
We had a reservation for 4 people on a Saturday night. Waited 15 minutes for anyone to show up and greet us. Finally, we’re told that our table wasn’t quite ready. Okay, fine, these things happen. Another 15 minutes go by and we are finally seated - no apology or acknowledgement that it is now 30 minutes past our reservation time.
Again, our server was very sweet. But the service itself was a mess from beginning to end. Basic drink orders (one beer and one soda water) were forgotten until we reminded someone after waiting about 20 minutes. The first entree came out…and then we waited…probably half an hour (!!) for the other entrees to arrive. Bizarre! Bad! No! This should not happen!
All of this could be forgiven if the food was great. The food, my friends, was not great. It was really not even good. A tiny, chewy steak with flavorless onion rings for $40. Gorgeous tomatoes absolutely destroyed under a liter of oil and vinegar. Fried saltines served with everything, somehow, for some reason. Extremely expensive duck fat something or other peanuts that just tasted like peanuts. The peach salad was good, so there’s that. The pancake soufflé, which is apparently viral on Instagram (??), was undercooked and what I imagine eating pancake batter with syrup would be like. It was $22.
As you can probably tell, nothing about this restaurant agreed with me. Or my digestive system. Without offering too many details, I can safely say that every ounce of Pitt’s was violently and unpleasantly eradicated from my body about 12 hours after our meal. For such a hefty tab, I guess it’s only fair that they throw in a free enema.
I wish the service staff at Pitt’s the best, and I hope they all land on their feet when this really overrated and ultimately bad restaurant closes in the next six months.
So good!!!

Had the lamb patty melt, beet salad, homemade mint chocolate ice cream and brownie, and a martini. Live music on Wednesday!

4.5. Really enjoyable. Food was tasty. Great vibe. Didn’t understand why the best sounding main on the menu wasn’t available until the weekend (was a Wednesday night). Menu was just a printed piece of thick paper.

I could not shut up about the fried saltine with Gouda peminto basically being the best cheez-it on the face of the earth.
The meatloaf tea sandwich genuinely left me speechless. One of the best dishes I've had in quite some time.
Can't wait to come back to try the catfish and soufflé

TLDR: everything was perfect! I eat and drink out a LOT and by and large the standard is very high in New York. Pitt’s absolutely exceeded whatever expectations I had. Despite not being a bar per se, the cocktails were the best I’ve tasted in ages! Truly inventive (without being weird) and sooo delicious. Similarly the food was absolutely more-ish and I had to restrain myself from ordering everything (next time!). Escargot with green goddess butter with ranch dusted lettuce cups!! And the lamb patty melt was glorious. The staff too was perfect—incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and fun! If I had to give one tiny bit of constructive feedback it would only be that I wish the cocktails had their ingredients listed on the menu. Seriously tho—I can’t wait to go back. Well done, Pitt’s :)

So so good. We had the confetti salad, tartare, pork chops, beats and soufflé. All excellent. The cocktails were STUPID good. Drinks alone would make it worth a visit. We sat at the bar and had a super fun time chatting with everyone. Great vibes, well-paced service.

Very cute vibe and great service. Pork chop and grits were exceptional. Pancake soufflé might be the best dessert I’ve had. Don’t usually take the time to write v just rating but this place deserves it.
