I’ve been coming here for my lunch break this whole week. I didn’t have any complaints until today with the rude customer service I was given. They’ve messed up my order many times and I’ve let it slide. I asked for coconut flakes and was charged but never given any. They accommodated me today and said they won’t charge for that. I tell him Very little DRIZZLE of Nutella bc the bowl already comes with honey. He didn’t communicate that to the lady who is actually making the bowls so it’s his fault not hers. I called to tell them they put spoonfuls of Nutella in my bowl and I didn’t ask for this. He then says “We put the regular amount of Nutella that’s why”. Again that isn’t what I asked for… he didn’t give me a resolution over the phone so I went back to the store to bring the bowl back because it was so much Nutella I couldn’t scoop it out without losing all my topping. I was frustrated because I’m on 30min lunch break so I wasted my break on all of this and he wasn’t being accommodating over the phone. I bring the bowl back and nicely show him the amount of Nutella he put and told him I can’t even scoop it out. He grabs the bowl and says “we put the regular amount” again I didn’t ask for this so clearly this isn’t an error on their end so why are you still saying what you did wrong instead of apologizing for the error and fixing it. He goes on to say “well you have an attitude”. I told him no I do not have an attitude, I’m frustrated bc I’m losing my entire break behind this and I’ve been coming here all week long and 3 out of 5 days my order was made incorrectly”. He kept going back and fourth with me telling me I have an attitude and if I don’t fix my attitude he won’t help me. I then happily gave him the attitude he kept accused me of having to show him the difference because again I didn’t not have an attitude over the phone all I said was “can you guys please listen when taking my order because this is an ongoing problem already and I’m spending so much money on something that isn’t being made the way I asked it to be made” Instead of telling me I’m sorry do you want to bring it back and we’ll make a new one he just said “ok” so I hung up. I never had an attitude to begin with and even if I did THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT! If I’m not disrespecting you then resolve my issue if it was a mistake on your behalf! He asked me if I was going to drop my attitude, I laughed and told him I don’t have time for the back and fourth, to either make it correctly or refund me. He tells me he’s going to refund me. Isn’t of refunding me he starts taking care of other customers and then gave me his back so he can make a smoothie. The lady made me a new bowl and he packs it and pushes the bag with the bowl inside and walks away. Still being very rude and not refunding me. I took the bowl and left because I didn’t have time to check it before I left. When I finally open the second bowl they made it wrong AGAIN! Still was charged for 2 drizzles but now they forgot to put the honey. They truly have no consideration for their customers, they don’t have good communication among each other and I’m extremely disappointed bc besides the horrible customer service the acai is amazing and the place is adorable. I don’t make reviews I literally came here just to do this because of how nasty that mans customer service was. I will never be going back to this location. $20 a bowl just to be made incorrectly and treated so poorly by the staff. DONT GIVE THIS LOCATION YOUR MONEY THEY DO NOT DESERVE IT!! I wish I got that man’s name but he’s a darker skinned tall man with glasses maybe Indian, Pakistanian decent along those lines. I’m only saying that part so if the manager of this location reads this he’ll know which employee needs to be spoken to. DO BETTER PLEASE!! Williamsburg the Northside isn’t an area that’s going to be ok with disgusting customer service. Again this is my first and only review ever! That should say a lot of how disrespected I felt by this location’s customer service. Think twice before coming here please!

I absolutely love this spot! I love that they have no sugar added protein and low sugar options, customizable smoothies. The only ONLY thing is that they always have this annoying smoke detector beeping sound…been there at least five times and it’s never been fixed lol. $19 for a terrible açaí bowl. LOADED with sugar. It was so sweet I could hardly finish it. This has nothing to do with healthy breakfast. Very disappointing given the reviews.

Super conveniently located by the L train at Bedford Avenue, you'll definitely see it when coming out of the train station exit. I always get the 8th Ave Açaí Bowl (Playa Acai topped with granola, banana, honey) because that's the cheapest w/ the tax ($15.19) from the menu. Fruits taste super fresh and delicious. Lots of granola and a whole banana in slices on top of the açaí. You might not think it's enough in a small bowl but it's indeed fulfilling. It's very refreshing especially in the summertime. Fast service from friendly staff. You can pay with cash and/or credit/debit cards. Probably my favorite Playa Bowl location imo as it has a very clean restroom for customers. There're lots of wall outlets all around in the back. There're two types of seats: metal bar stools for individuals towards the front and a huge, spacious seating area in the back with tables plus several comfy oversized egg-shaped cushion wicker basket chairs. Ambiance wise is of tropical beach vibes and the walls are painted in blue for the ocean/waves. Additionally, there's a huge, vibrant logo of Playa Bowls on the wall. I always come back to visit and grab a bite whenever I stop by the Williamsburg neighborhood.

The Acai was super icy and watery, the strawberry’s were old, mushy, and you could smell they had that fridge close to expire smell to them.It was also sickly sweet, unsure if it was some syrup, but just not at all nearly as good as the places on the same street.No idea why this place is highly rated, some of the worst acai I’ve had.
