We love it here. An incredible experience that creates the space to unplug during your time together. The team working there is knowledgeable and kind. Anytime we are I. Williamsburg we try and make a reservation

I love this tea shop! The staff is very informative and the owner is very passionate about tea. I came a couple of months ago and bought a bunch of tea based off the recommendations of the staff. I love the Bedtime tea - it’s become a nighttime staple. The Earl Grey is absolutely amazing. I came back for a refill and was told to keep the canister as it’s meant to be refilled. Love this! Definitely recommend to those who love tea and want great quality.

First, the photos of the place are dated and do not reflect its transformation into a true art space over the years. Second, ignore one star comments. This place set its boundaries and demands respect for a reason. After 6-9 ceremony cups of uninterrupted puerh bliss you’ll get it.

As one might expect, excellent selection of puer teas, both raw and cooked. Owner is very knowledgeable. Store space is well-curated and aesthetically pleasing

Immaculately curated space with high quality teas at all price points. Well worth a visit if seeking a respite from the bustle of NYC or if interested in gong fu steeping. This venue stands out as a singular gem in a city that expects rarefied offerings as commonplace.

Great please to unwind. Love the owner passion about just relaxing and enjoy tea time! 🥰

The tea is good, but the energy here is condescending and oddly self-important.

I understand and respect the rules around photography, but the way it’s enforced feels less about preserving sacredness and more about shaming people for being too shallow to appreciate what the store offers.

Before the owner replies with the usual character judgement or passive aggressive response (as he often does), I’ll just say this: when so many people walk away feeling unwelcome, it’s worth asking why. Sometimes it’s not about defending your ego. Sometimes it’s about asking whether you’re creating a space that welcomes curiosity or one that feels hostile to anyone who doesn’t already “get it”.

Such a weird, unwelcoming, and unfriendly atmosphere from some of the men working there. I walked out of there wishing I didn’t spend over $100 on tea / other goods. I’ll stick to the other tea houses like Te Company in the West Village and Kettl in Greenpoint.
