Close to the 4&9 train station (R, F, G), indoor and outdoor seating. Good espresso coffee, nondairy milk options. Excellent pastries, including some savory, and premade sandwiches. Good vegetarian options. Friendly service!

Great coffee, robust flavor and smooth foamed milk. Quintessential ny neighborhood coffee shop where readers and dog walkers share small tables and enjoy their Java. I was excited about their cardamom bun, but it was a bit dense to my liking - chocolate olive oil pound cake on the other hand seemed decadent and may be a better choice.

Almost consistently good coffee, certainly the best in the neighborhood for miles around. Also, take a moment to check out the decor. The details are really interesting antique light fixtures, velvet seats. The staff is great. ❤️

Neat, quiet, and European-esque coffee shop tucked away in Gowanus with okay coffee - strong enough and a little acidic. Ordered a latte with regular milk, foam was pretty smooth. Would recommend for a quiet place to stop for a short time if you like or prioritize a peaceful aesthetic when choosing a coffee shop. Not a loved neighborhood spot serving locals, feels out of place. I wouldn't come out of my way, but might stop in again if in the area to read or journal.

I’m picky about my drip and espresso, really good espresso and good coffee (I’m just a fan of dark roasts and it was a good medium).
Good coffee but consistently slow service/understaffed. Also on the pricier side for the neighborhood. Good ambiance, however, and food options.

Room 205 in Brooklyn is a gem for coffee enthusiasts. Their Americanos are simply the best, offering a rich and robust flavor that stands out. What elevates the experience is the incredibly friendly staff who make every visit welcoming and enjoyable. It deeply saddens me the upcharge for for oat milk, stop promoting the murder of dairy cows. Reward people for oat milk. Charge more for regular milk. This is sickening to
