Good drinks, good atmosphere
I live in the neighborhood and have visited Sweet Talk on multiple occasions, both prior to the re-design and since. I have experienced mixed situations each time, thus why I am giving it three stars, rather than the four I would have given it at times and one this last time.

SweetTalk is a charming restaurant that offers surprisingly tasty and reasonably priced Hawaiian food. The cocktails are perfection, and the cozy, dog-friendly outdoor sidewalk area creates an ideal vibe for small groups. The service is attentive and accommodating, with a menu featuring delicious options like furikake fries, tacos, sliced short ribs, poke bowls, and Taro chips. The decor is beautiful, and the overall ambiance is fantastic, especially when enjoying live music. The fresh and excellent food, with creative twists on classics, and the delightful desserts like the Malasada make SweetTalk a must-visit destination, despite the occasional parking challenge. The atmosphere is great for a date, and the staff is lovely, though service can sometimes be slightly slow.
