I have been to brunch at this restaurant multiple times. Typically, it's a 5 star experience -- good service and good food (especially the pancakes). Today, my partner and I showed up for brunch and it looks like the restaurant has closed (maybe permanently??). Another group showed up and seemed equally surprised that the place was closed. No warning, no update on either the website or the instagram page. We went back home hungry. My partner said he recently went with a friend for brunch & the employees were locking up the doors more than 30 min prior to closing time. Please communicate with your patrons!

This review is for the brunch. This place has the best pancakes in Brooklyn, hands down. The service here is phenomenal; the staff is so kind and friendly. If you come there often enough AND happen to be kind, they will remember your name and talk with you. I feel like I found my "Cheers" spot.Now the pancakes. They are perfectly toasted on the outside, with crisp edges. They are buttery flavored and simultaneously dense + moist. They hold syrup well, so the pancake doesn't get soggy with syrup. It's really one of my favorite things to eat.I also really like the ambiance of the restaurant; it's very warm and cheery with tons of plants and I really like the natural light that comes in through the windows. Also, if you have the chance, you should order the sgrappiano. It's 1oz of vodka, some champagne, and lemon sorbetto. The sorbetto acts as a chaser and ice. one of my favorite drinks I've had this year.

Surprisingly un-pretentious but sophisticated. This is a great low-key romantic date spot. Did I say interesting cocktails and a matching playlist? It's a tricky balance that few places get right. They get it right. Well done. Like Arnold says, we'll be back

I adore this place and all the staff, but the kitchen is a bit inconsistent. We ordered two burgers and a couple of appetizers, but one burger came out, and the other did not come out for another 10-12 minutes. No bueno on that front. And their cocktails can certainly improve! But their food is excellent all around.

One of the best meals I've had. Honestly from every angle you can think of, this restaurant has surpassed my expectations. The flavors, the creativity, ambiance and presentation, it was all fabulous. Service top notch, super friendly staff that's very attentive. Very excited to go back!
They make the most delicious food! A great neighborhood spot with lots of options and a really great martini. The host and servers are so warm and welcoming. We especially love the burger, the brussels, and the beans but everything is really top notch that we've tried. We just used to go for breakfast and their amazing pancakes and egg dishes but now it's on rotation for dinners too

Ever staff member there is fantastically nice and happy to indulge any questions you have. One was even kind enough to offer me a spoon when they saw me attempt to clean the sauce off my plate with a fork. The food delicious - by far some of the best in Clinton Hill.

Sometimes you wanna go to a place where everybody knows your name.That place is Lulu and Po.The ONLY restaurant I know of in NYC that makes a perfect Monte Cristo sandwhich New Orleans style!

Constantly thinking about this place and their breakfast. Loved their eggs Benedict’s with smoked salmon and I’m not even usually a fan of eggs Benedict. their pancakes are to die for! Fluffy and warm and sweet. Tastes like a funnel cake. Definitely the best pancakes I’ve ever had in my life. Hasbrowns are exactly like McDonald’s hash browns in shape, size, and crispiness. Expensive breakfast but worth the price. The lines get long, so go early.We also got a sgroppino which was this Prosecco and lemon sorbet drink and omg that was life changing too! I want to come back for dinner!

Went there for dinner. Although the restaurant was almost empty I wasn’t allowed to sit at a table at 6.15pm while I was waiting for my friend. When she arrived we were settled at a table and I ordered food. We were constantly harassed about what we wanted to order even though we whist wanted to catch up for a second because we hadn’t seen each other in months. Then when we were done eating and my friend’s husband arrived we had to move yet again to a bar stool because he wasn’t eating anything. Food was also overpriced for what it was. Plus I was asked if I wanted to have a glass of port on the rocks! If you’re going for fine dining you have to do better than that!

From the outside (and the name), you would think Lulu and Po was another below average brunch spot- but you would be wrong!The pancakes here may be the best I've ever had. They're huge, they're incredibly soft and fluffy, and they come with the biggest shmear of butter I've ever seen. (We also tried the chilaquiles which were delicious! The tortilla chips stayed crispy until the end of our meal. But really I'm here for the pancakes).The waiting system is surprisingly seamless too. They have you wait online outside and order/pay right when you walk in. So all you have to do is enjoy your delicious breakfast at your own pace and roll right out the front door to get back in bed. 10/10!
