I always go for happy hour. Everything from the decor, to the food and service is amazing. Just try ALL their food. I recommend their veggie empamada. It is super filling and you don't feel guilty eating it. My go to drinks are the Amante Picante and Orale.

I love Ruta! We are so happy that this Mexican restaurant is in our neighborhood now. We have seen this large restaurant change to different types of food and businesses and finally landed in a sophisticated and yet warm Mexican cuisine. We came here twice this week. Service is wonderful! Definitely try the short ribs!

Oh man! Awesome place. Feels like a local joint, waiters are super nice and bring out free avocado and strawberry for our infant and the food feels like I'm south of the border in a local, non-touristy town. Tacos, guacamole, salsa, michelada, seabass, quesadilla.... you name it, it's all unreal.

Loved the outdoor area (the charming seat at the top). Taco Tuesday is a great deal (comes out to 5 a taco) given the very high quality of everything. Excellent spicy marg and guac too. We’ll be back!

20 out of 10!!! The Ribs Istmenas are ridiculously delicious! The chipotle guava glaze on them is just phenomenal. The Steak Oaxaqueño was thought out so well and each bite was paired with a delicious melted chihuahua cheese, sweet plantain, nopales salad and an amazing mole coloradito. To be honest there’s so many great plates my review would be 10 pages long. The ceviche, the calamari, the buñuelos, the cochinita tacos, the Pulpo every time I eat here the flavors are so good I just want to try the next thing on the menu! Chef Felipe is a master of his craft and puts a lot of thought and care into what comes out of his kitchen. They have awesome brunch options from 12-4pm as well. The service is very welcoming and attentive. The drinks… Just WOW! I think I’ve nearly tried everything and I love coming here.
We found this place just walking around Brooklyn and it truly was amazing. The food was phenomenal. It had the authentic flavors. We had the enchiladas, quesadillas, and the el pastor tacos.
The drinks were also good, service was good.
Highly recommend for good Mexican food.

We love this place, really incredible spot for Mexican food in the city with warm and wonderful service. And such a great atmosphere and a fun happy hour. My partner had his favorite margarita ever, and I had the best mocktail margarita of my life. We will be coming back again and again!
