The server (male) was extremely racist and rude to POC! He flat out refused to give my friend a plate and chopsticks once the food arrived (we ordered multiple things), then brought out dirty chopsticks. Completely ignored us when we’d need anything and quite literally left the table as I was mid-sentence ordering food to go to the kitchen (he did this on two separate occasions). He also kicked my friend’s (a black individual) feet “accidentally” as he was serving me and told me that she can not consume any food here. I am highly shaken and appalled by this experience, I have never seen anything or been treated like this EVER and I can’t believe a restaurant in NYC can operate under these ethics. Need accountability asap, this is disgusting. Anyways, the server had already processed our bill and we left our food untouched. I want to forget this ever happened.

If I could give zero stars I would!! Horrible horrible service with a very rude waiter. I have been ordering takeout from here for years and decided to do dine-in. The waiter was very rude and even went so far as to kick my foot when I returned chopsticks due to their student discount policy.

food not good. bed Smile 😇
really good, flavorful vegetarian ramen. i thought it was weird to charge for tofu on the vegetarian ramen, when non vegetarian ramens do not have to pay for their meat topping. but other than that it was so good!

While I always enjoy the food from here a lot, I’ve now seen/experienced 3 instances of very rude service from one of the servers. Unfortunately it has always been towards people of color. Even though the customers were very polite & reasonable, the server gave really rude attitude back that I’ve never experienced in a restaurant before. Service jobs are difficult & deserve respect and yet customers also deserve respect, especially those who have been completely kind & courteous. He responded with totally unwarranted negativity. I can’t support a business that treats people like that. I really hope that person is able to grow in this regard.

Weird vibes here. Looks like someone put tables in a white rectangular room and called it a restaurant. Decor? No? Ok...
Menus are laminated sheets with a ring binder. The whole thing just comes off as dirty and cheap. A whole bunch of the menu options you see in old reviews aren't available either. Based on the reviews it seems like something changed in the last year, not for the better.

As a huge fan of Ramen this place is legit. Wonderful spicy miso ramen with super flavorful broth and excellent real Japanese noodles. The place has a casual no frills vibe because it’s all about the food. Wonderful fast service and it wasn’t busy on a Saturday night. It should be packed I don’t get it. Seriously go here. Sorry forgot to take pictures the food distracted me.

This spot keeps things simple but delivers where it counts. The space itself is straightforward, minimalist with a few eye-catching art pieces that serve as great conversation starters. The food is solid, with a nice variety of options, and the service is great, attentive, and welcoming without being overbearing. One standout feature is the impressive selection of house-made sake, which adds a unique touch to the experience. While the overall ambiance leans on the plain side, the quality of the service and drinks make it a worthwhile visit.

Bad service and not worth the price
Everyone knows that in Japan you serve food. All the plates are supposed to be equal and balanced. This restaurant does not do that. The noodles stuck together. They were not fresh and the food was not warm enough, but it is considered an insult when the balance of soup of my friend was not equal with the other soups served on the table. We only ate it out of courtesy, but if they want to uphold Japanese quality service, Japanese or not, they need to go to Japan, and see how it’s done. Take your food seriously and always respect your customers dish in balance warmth and Courtesy as if you are serving your own Parents. Do better. There are other sushi restaurants just opening steps away. Hayaku Shimasu and serve the right way. I recommend no dish until better. Excuse my direct words. アイラ
