The entire staff at Savelli was very friendly and our server, Paolo, took excellent care of us! The crispy calamari and big, juicy Nonna-styled meatballs were fantastic appetizers, and they offer Super Tuscans by the glass! Their long 29-inch pizza was so light and airy (with the right amount of chew) that our entire table devoured it all. And definitely don't skip their tiramisu. It's like a coffee-rich cloud, and you can tell that it's made in-house.
The atmosphere is cozy and non-pretentious—think, a Tuscan estate. They have a wood-fire oven where they bake the pizzas, and at the back they have an indoor patio with a large skylight that lets in natural light.
Savelli stands out as a true neighborhood gem, delivering authentic Italian flavors and heartfelt hospitality every step of the way. We can't wait to return!

I read the best Italian is in Brooklyn... absolutely correct. All was outstanding. Best of everything. We tried it all arancini (short rib version, orecchiette, veal. Nino said his tiramisu was the best. It was fantastic. Best we ever had in Italy and elsewhere. This place is a well kept secret... a hidden gem beautiful atrium, inside a nondescript restaurant front. Go and enjoy. Say hi to Nino. Nino we will be back next time we are in NYC. Thank you!

Our family normally eats at highly rated Italian restaurants in Brooklyn and Staten Island and were treated by my son who said to try Savelli as an anniversary gift. We did not know about this obscure restaurant tucked in on Smith St, or what we call the old neighborhood where our family came from. Needless to say, it as good as my son stated, with all the food being prepared in house from their red sauce right to the tiramisu. In fact, it is impressive and will be on our regular dining out list from this time on....and I should add the staff is outstanding, with kudos to Paolo who was as helpful and friendly as anyone could ask for in waiting on your table. Don't miss out on one of the best Italian dining experiences in Brooklyn....

Surprised my parents for their 50th anniversary while family was in town and we couldn't have picked a better place. Servers were all super friendly, joyful, and attentive. We were a group of 8 and while there was a big private party booked in the room next to us we never felt service was lacking from the servers or the kitchen, they were all on top of their game. We had both arancine appetizers along with the meatballs - all three were fantastic and a great start. For mains we had the Brasato di Manzo, Rollo di Pollo, Pollo al Limone, and the mussels special. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the meals and was left more than satisfied.
Extra bonus was they allowed us to bring a cake to surprise our parents and stored it for us in the kitchen while we ate. They brought it out with much fanfare after the meal and the extra effort by them was greatly appreciated. The round of limoncellos with the cake was also very generous!
Very enjoyable experience in every aspect, look forward to returning here again in the future!

Great restaurant, great food, great servers with personality and humor. Party of 8 for a surprise 50th anniversary dinner for my parents while my family was visiting from out of town and I couldn't have picked a better spot. Food was all fantastic, came out hot and everything was well timed for a party of 8. They were kind enough to let us bring in a cake to store + slice/serve for us so that was an added bonus and greatly appreciated. Rice balls, meatballs, and beef short rib were highlights of the orders worth mentioning but everything was great and I will definitely be back here again. Appreciate them showing my family a great time - proper Italian food with that wonderful Italian hospitality. Fully recommend and I look forward to my next visit.

Perfect if you're in from out of town (or have guests) and want a quick dose of great pizza around tables of finance bros and slicked hair Italian guys, in the best way. The (fully enclosed) back garden is lovely when the weather is nice, and the staff are lovely all the time!

I was on a date today at 9:05. We waited for 20 minutes just for anyone to get our orders. They didn’t and they were not coming too. So we left. Can’t say anything about food because we didn’t got a chance to taste. Waste of time.

We hosted an event at Savelli last weekend, and it was perfect! Our guests were blown away by the food and the beautiful space. The kindness and attentiveness of the staff was also remarkable, many of our guests commented on this. I cannot recommend Savelli enough for hosting a private event!

Fantastic restaurant and an amazing place to host an event. We just had our daughter’s bat mitzvah there, and everything was perfect. The food is amazing, the staff could not be nicer or more accommodating, and the space is great for a party. They were on top of everything from the A/V to the specialty drinks. Ask for Daniele. Highly recommend.
