Very good location and friendly staff. The rooms however are quite old (I stayed in a standard room), my fridge wasn't working properly and coffee machine was quite old too. The front desk tried to replace the fridge and was helpful and there are many coffee places nearby (between Lexington and Park Ave). The room was clean and beds were promptly made every day, which for me was a plus. Would stay there again due to the very good location but you need to know it's not what you see on the website pictures (cannot speak for the other room categories though).

We had a great stay. Staff was friendly and the room was comfortable. The bathroom doorknob was a little wonky, but everything else was stellar. We highly recommend staying here. It’s in a great location and booked through Hotwire, it was relatively affordable.

This hotel is an excellent choice for families. The rooms are large and spacious, and the one bedroom suite has a kitchenette with a sink, large fridge, freezer and microwave. The location is perfect for exploring all of Manhattan (near Central Park and steps from the Lexington Avenue subway). You are within walking distance of the Roosevelt Island Tram (you just need to purchase a metro card at a machine near the turnstile for entrance) and Serendipity 3 (you should make a reservation online ahead of time). The Lombardy is very close to Whole Foods (if you are an amazon member you can place an online grocery order with a minimum $35 purchase), and you can walk to a Target (Target also lets you purchase groceries and supplies online with no minimum). The hotel restaurant is currently closed, but you are very close to many excellent restaurants. Tina's Cuban and Dim Sum Palace are both incredibly family friendly and very close and affordable. Please note that children need to exercise caution when using the front entrance stairs to the hotel and a child should hold the railing even if they are usually a good walker.

Lucky for them the location is great and that earned them the 2. Lobby was nice as well as the personnel. Room was not even close to the one described or showed at their website, ours in particular was dark, old and not well maintanined. Our room was with a moldy smell, wood floor was raised from what seemed to be a water leak or flood, and one of the bathrooms bathtubs drain was completely rusted. At my checkout I was not even asked how was my stay, but I did let the person know.

Hotel is excellent and well maintained with friendly professional staff. I have stayed several times. The location is good and convenient to public transit. Rooms are large and nicely furnished, each room has had a different décor.

Farewell - never again I’ve stayed here about 10 times over the years - as a regular business traveller to NY - enough is enough. It was always my choice as so convenient for my office. Tired, musky, staff not interested, room just about clean. Not that I need any recognition, but never had a “welcome back” or never had a ”how was your stay” from anyone there - who literally are doing you a favour. Check in always slow, room keys never work, staff can’t be bothered to help. Don’t bother - they’ll hardly care or notice, but find somewhere that wants customers.

Just arrived only to be assigned a room that looks nothing like the pictures on line. It is dark , dated and musty smelling . The tv along with the decor and furnishings look like they haven’t been updated in at least 20 years . How much does it cost to paint the walls white and put nice treatments on the window and get a new clean couch . Also air out the room . Asked to switch rooms only to be sent to an even worse room. Do not stay here .

I love this little hotel! Can't beat the location - it is in the center of the universe. The people are very friendly, and the rooms are apartments. I stayed in 1604 - corner apartment, great light, superb little kitchen, new carpet, new paint, and very comfortable furniture. Unfortunately the great Italian restaurant across the street has closed, but there is a new steak restaurant coming right into the Lombardy. Looking forward to eating there on my next trip.

Nice hotel with great size rooms. I found the rooms extremely comfortable. Nice bathrooms with a small kitchen area to handle the quick late-night or early-morning bites Centrally located, good for business travel and a romantic night with your partner.

The hotel was booked for a 4-night leisure stay. The room was a good size, clean and well maintained and was convenient for Subway, bus routes and a number of attractions. We did not use the gym, business centre or spa facilities. The staff we dealt with were polite and helpful. The only down side was the lack of a restaurant, coffee shop or room service. This would have been a useful facility to have but which is apparently still unavailable due to COVID. I would stay here again, as well as recommend it to friends, if you just want a bed and a bathroom for the night, with the caveat that there is no food or drink of any kind available.

Quiet boutique hotel in a super neighborhood. This is the only place we've stayed in NYC for almost 30 yrs. Its our home away from home. The staff are very professional and the rooms are large and very quiet.

We have a 3 kids and wanted a nice launching point for hanging out for Spring Break. We've lived in the city, so we knew we wanted to be near friends on the East side. This was the best place - convenient location to midtown activities and the park. And an easy cab ride to anywhere else in the city. The room was amazing. Two bedrooms and a large living area. Perfect with 3 kids and having a babysitter.

stayed 5 days and liked the location, on a relatively quiet street. Rooms are very generously sized, ours had kitchenette, huge closets, great shower. staff were very professional and took the time to learn our names despite just a short stay

We were VERY disappointed. We had reserved a Studio King room and so did our friends. They had a spacious studio with separate kitchen area, seating area and sleeping area. We had a king bed in a standard hotel room with a microwave and mini fridge - no seating area at all (in fact, only a desk chair). I don't mind that kind of room but I should not be paying the same as someone who had a full Studio! I was told that no two 'rooms' are alike and I understand that, but we should have received a partial refund or been put in something that was commensurate with the amount of money we spent.

Four of us stayed at the Lombardy for the weekend. When I booked the one bedroom suite it said that there were two bathrooms which was one of the main reasons I booked it since it was very expensive. The suite only had one bathroom and the hotel refused to compensate us any money even though it was in writing that the suite had two bathrooms. Aside from that, the hotel is clean but it is clear that although this hotel was once highly sought after, it has seen better days. With so many options of hotels to stay in in NYC, I strongly recommend booking elsewhere.
