I booked a reservation on Open Table for 3/1/2025. I received a confirmation and two reminders only to find out they were closed when I got there. Telephone number is out of service. Know before you go!

Once this place got popular it's somewhat difficult to make a reservation .The people that you speak to to make a reservation are rude and disrespectful.

the hours show it’s open from 5-11 on Saturdays, itwas 5:45 and they still weren’t open, they should put the correct hours on Google

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. My sister tried booking this place for her birthday and was told someone would call back and confirm reservation and never did. When we tried calling multiple times no one EVER answered the phone. We go in anyways and they don’t even have tables large enough to fit 8 people. We waited half hour after being seated at two different tables and no one EVER came over so we just left and went to cornbread and have an amazing experience with amazing staff. Would never try this place again!

Let me say I never leave reviews, but my experience was so horrendous. The restaurant has fell from Grace. there was only one waiter for the entire restaurant. The owner doubled as the bartender with drinks that at best was subpar my party and I ordered margaritas that came in a shot glass and the owner had the audacity to say that’s how he serves them. The white sangria taste like a powder orange drink mix disgusting. We also ordered catfish bites that looked as if he took one catfish and cut it up into six pieces if the restaurant owner can no longer afford to service his customers he should close horrible.!!!

Me and my wife decided to take my oldest son here for his 22nd birthday, we heard great things about this place. The food was not amazing it wasn’t even okay I had lobster Shrimp and grits lobster was not fully prepared and my youngest son he 16 all he like to eat is burgers,so when I seen that he only took two bite I tried it,the burger felt like Soggy meatloaf I must say I was highly disappointed in this restaurant for a family of four spending $200 to go out to eat and riding two hours there and back. It was a total disappointment for me.

Just awful… the food was horrible and it was terribly slow for a Saturday night! Understandable considering the service was not great.

New Review 9/29/24: Soco has fallen off. I went on Sunday afternoon and it was severely understaffed. The waiter said multiple times he was new but the food took well over an hour to come out. The handed is chipped plates for our appetizers. Sad to say the owner was mixed the drinks because there was no bartender. The food was okay but after a long wait it's hard to be happy with what you get. This was once a go to spot to have good food and vibes. I hope they are able to bounce back.

Incredibly delicious and well-prepared food. They were picky about the details.
Also, they had incredibly good drinks. Not least "Brooklyn", which was their own interpretation of a "Manhattan".

I was soooo disappointed. I was trying to decided between going here and brooklyn Beso. Based on reviews, my sister and I decided to do Soco. My first clue that the food wasn't good should have been that it was a Friday evening and the place was completely empty!!! My sister's and I ignored the sign and went in any way. For appetizers we ordered the crab cakes (salty) the bbq wings (just blah). For our main course we ordered the shrimp and lobster grits. I was disappointed to see so much sauce in the grits, the grits didn't have the consistency of grits, it just didn't taste good. My lobster was completely over cooked, it was chewy and rubbery. The funny thing the owners came over to our table twice to ask about the lobster, I didn't try mine yet so I couldn't tell them it just wasn't good. Now on to the server/owner or owner brother.......I'm happy that he was attentive but it became annoying, as soon as we put our forks down here he came rushing to remove things. He stood off to the side I felt watching us like a security guard. It was just weird and annoying. My sister ordered a sangria they gave her a half of a glass, we asked if that's how it comes he said yes because you didn't get ice. Mind you we never told them to exclude the ice. Over all I would not be returning here they definitely lost their touch. I should have gone to brooklyn beso bad reviews or not.

I don’t leave reviews often but this restaurant was more than disappointing. To start, when we asked the waiter for water we were met with a very passive aggressive response which I didn’t find necessary. We waited over an hour for food and were told by a worker it would only be “five more minutes”. To end the night, the group I was with split the check, and the waiter lost the credit card of one of my friends. For a $30+ for three pieces of chicken and a waffle, I don’t think we received the service we paid for. The server introduced himself but disappeared right after that, not really sure what was up with that. The food uh- fine, but the experience was not worth the mediocrity that the evening was.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. The catfish nuggets, Mac n cheese, and cornbread are all excellent. The drinks were straight alcohol with no balancing flavors…and the pork chop entree was a mess tbh. I’d like to come back just for their seafood, bc that is very fresh and tasty.

Lastly, the atmosphere is meh. No vibe. Bright lights and top 40 RnB playlist from 2018.
