They focus on customer satisfaction here. Service was impressively thorough! Their dessert menu shows particular attention. I plan to tell family members about this restaurant where good food comes with good service. I genuinely value this spot, and you'll value it too.

Wish they had more coffee options! But the donuts they have on weekends are good.

Overall, a pleasant experience. The service was good, and the atmosphere had a nice vibe. That said, as many others have mentioned, the prices feel a bit high for what you get. For example, the banana bread was $7 and seemed slightly past its prime. Still, it’s worth visiting to enjoy the overall experience.

Great modern takes on loved Persian pastries and drinks. Delicious but not suitable for people looking for food more faithful to the traditional recipes. For example the khaksheer was nice but more sweet and carbonated relative to the traditional drink

My god we need more places like this in Brooklyn! Amazing selection of yummy Persian savory and sweet items. Slightly pricey but you can tell the quality and flavor is worth it. You MUST go on weekends for the Rose Cream Doughnuts which are PHENOMENAL

Airy, bright, clean, delicious (abcd) is exactly how we found this Persian cafe. I had a stuffed bread with a fresh salad and a rose flavored, pistachios encrusted milk drink… what a refreshing breakfast.

Very calming, cozy, and clean cafe. We only had drinks (about $7 each), so I didn’t try any of the food items. The sharbat albaloo and sekanjabin were tasty, but overall, looking at everything, I didn’t feel that the prices match the quality/quantity of the food and drinks, which is also something I’ve gathered from reading other reviews. It is nice to see some Persian representation, and the bathroom artwork has a beautiful nostalgic and aesthetic feel to it, so definitely a vibe for some fun selfies.

We walked in with high hopes and we were not disappointed. The “Malakeye Badoom” was perfect, the crispy almonds and soft and sweet and flavorful bottom were a great match. The refreshing fizzy drinks were great too. As what I expected from an Iranian cafe, the drinks and pastries were not too sweet and it was perfect. The cream on the Latifeh was perfect and the only improvement I can thing of is a more flaky cookie instead of the current heavier one.
The service was kind and helpful, but the atmosphere and the decor can be a but more lively, instead of the current grayscale decor.
Definitely a joyful visit and will come back for more!

Very low quality event that didn't worth buying with no drink or food serving. They charged us twice and resistant about it when we were saying we have already closed the bill. After we stepped out we checked our account and we realized we were charged twice so went in and told about the mistake that they finally asked the other waitress to confirm and finally believed us and refunded. Not being reslected as a customer.

I'm Iranian American, I live just down the block, and I wish I could say something nice about Sofreh Cafe, but it's been a consistent disappointment. The food is mediocre, the prices are comically expensive at times, and the atmosphere is stark and unfriendly. The equivalent western cafe would be serving a bad croissant, selling it for twice the normal price, with a bad atmosphere, and equally bad coffee. It's just not a good experience regardless of your cultural background.
The business model seems to be praying on the earnest open-minded generosity of a non-iranian clientele, banking on benefit-of-the-doubt and good will.
It's saddening to see my food and hospitality culture distorted in this way. Missing all the warmth, flavor and generosity embodied in Iranian cuisine.
I suggest anyone looking for a Persianate cafe venture to Kensington or Brighton Beach. The Uzbek or Turkish cafes will furnish a much better cultural and culinary experience.
