Nice outdoor patio with board games. A $5 beer is also nice.
the bartenders and the owner of South are super friendly and great. Nice selection of beer and a chill and relaxing atmosphere, there’s even a backyard area! Definitely recommend checking this place out.
Great customer service. Rochelle is the best bartender!!!
Pretty dope bar great vibes good beer and the beer garden is nice.
Best bar in the south slope/park slope area. Staff is amazing and they make the BEST homemade vodka from Greece. Gypsy made us a greek quesadilla panini creation and it was out of this world. Rochelle the bartender knows exactly what drinks we like and has it ready the second we walk in! They are truly amazing and have become great friends of ours. Awesome atmosphere and extremely accommodating. My cousin was headlining pride two weeks ago in the area and they were nice enough to have us for the entire night. Highly recommend this place!
So the bartender (Kenzie) here is great. Super friendly and skilled at her job. When we saw she’d be taking care of us we felt confident that we were going to have a great night. The owner (or manager or whoever he was) however, made it clear that was not the case. He never told us his name and i feel that was intentional - We spent an evening there not too long ago and every move we made seemed to irritate him. Rather than tell us what was wrong or ask us to kindly stop whatever we were doing that was bothering him so much he kept coming up to our table, giving us the death stare, passively aggressively rolling his eyes or throwing up his hands in disgust. He even made it seem as though we were inconveniencing him asking for drinks (at the bar) & i think he purposely burnt my grilled cheese out of spite. When I went to close out my tab I watched him angrily rip apart the bar looking for my card, until a regular pointed out where my card was, in plain sight. Right in front of his face. He seems like he’s got a lot going on in his life and I do truly take pity on him. But we were just trying to enjoy ourselves and apparently that isn’t allowed at “South” ... I don’t think I’ll ever go back. There are plenty of dives in the area and the bar/restaurant next door has an actual kitchen & a far better outdoor seating setup anyway!
Great dive in Park Slope. There's definitely a Texas theme, which we love. I heard of it because Billy Durney used to give away his barbecue here as his was learning how to make it.
great atmosphere. good music and beer. staff is always friendly.

Very nice dive
Great bar! Michael is the best bartender we’ve ever had - he made sure we always had popcorn, a drink, and even shared some leftover red velvet cake with us. The place is very cozy and you simply feel welcomed once you come inside. A++
Long-time south slope establishment. Great grilled cheeses and back yard. LGBTQ+ love here. Juke box, buck hunter and good cheap drinks.
Great local bar that doesn't covert us with TV screens and has a good range of well-kept craft beers.
Horrible experience at this place! The bartender must’ve been having a bad day...such a nasty individual. We were not expecting confetti when we walked in but the way we were treated was terrible. Will definitely not be returning or suggesting this place to anyone
