Very chill bar, the mood was mellow & dark & delightful, I could hear the people I was with. The bartender was so sweet, he improvised some delightful cocktails for me, & the prices were very cheap, even with shelf liquor. Highly recommended!
I've always had a great time at starr bar over the past almost 10 years (!!). I've both hosted and attended events and they are always accomodating and helpful. When I go just to hang out the vibes and music are always great. They're such an important event space that organizers really rely on.
Fantastic space, where both the patrons and staff were cool, and cared about their neighbors and their community. There was a wonderful organization called Freedom Agenda there, celebrating their fifth year in existence, fighting to close Rikers Island and to end mass incarceration and the structural racism driving it.
