Probably my followers know me by now I can't walk by coffee not trying it.I got the Hot lattee +almond milk 8oz $5.70Aa far as the coffee taste by far not the best I've had.The place in the other hand cozy and clean. I was welcomed. Lots of sitting areas. For the Area i find the croissant to be Expensive. If the coffee will get better. This place will hae good future.

Steeplechase is a great place to go to relax, get some work done, or read while enjoying delicious coffee. While their menu doesn't have as many flavors/specialty drinks as some, they more than make up for it with their high quality roast. They also have some great pastries (their croissants in particular) and a real tasty grilled cheese. The atmosphere is cozy and chill here, with plenty of seating as well as plenty of live plants to add some ambience. I love to come here to get some work done in the morning and have never had trouble finding a table. The baristas are so friendly, too. Joe and I chat every day and he's always so cheerful (so tip him well!). All in all a great local coffee spot and anyone in the area should give them a visit.

For the price you pay, the quality of the coffee isn't so good. Tasting very burnt and bland; w/ no nutty notes or the standard roast taste. Bought two coffees and and two croissants and came out to little over 22 dollars. Not worth the money when there is so much coffee in NYC. The atmosphere is nice though, I liked the spot and service was good.

This is a great space that has so much potential but former rude workers, odd rules like no cell phones and specific tables where you could use your laptop, along with inconsistent service turned off a lot of people in the neighborhood. With that said today was the first time I enjoyed going there. New guy working (young, glasses) who was very welcoming, a great playlist (Cuban music I believe) and a delic Frozen Latte will make me go back. To the owner: you have a great space, thank you for the latest changes.

Great local shop with an excellent pourover. Went on a slower Monday and was poured the Banko Gotiti Yirgacheffe from Brooklyn Roasting Company over a v60. Juicy and floral as one would expect. Barista was friendly, knowledgeable, and informative. If I weren't moving out of the city, I'd be a regular.Dietary restrictions: Vegan options

i have been here a few time before and considered it to be a pretty average coffee shop! Today sadly enough will be the last day i'll go--it was $9.00 for a iced chai with an espresso shot! ( also very small portion) no fancy milk or anything I was genuinely confused and double checked w the lady working and she told me it was 2.50 for a shot of espresso the math just wasn't making sense to me and couldn't even taste the espresso in the latte! so very sad as a student jus way out of budget :((

Im here on a Sunday in January 2023 and I was not asked to charge a minimum of $10 to use my credit card. Perhaps it is gone. Regardless, this is a peaceful place to study and I enjoy the patrons & staff - good atmosphere.

Super friendly staff, looked dim on the inside to lead my partner and I to be uncertain about them being open but they were open! Matcha is a little bland for my taste.

I go here to study often. A cozy little neighborhood spot for some coffee and quick bite. The staff is always friendly. I do wish they got rid of their $10 minimum for credit card—a few times I had to go somewhere else because I didn’t have cash on me. Nonetheless, it’s a good coffee stop!Edit: 2yrs since my last review, this coffee shop still imposes its $10 minimum for credit card, which is ridiculous. Their explanation that CC companies charge a percentage of every transaction is not a good excuse, even for a small business.

I wonder if their in trouble. I mean times are tough but it was hard to get to them at 6 when I was working locally or on the weekends. Let alone before 3PM. I used to love to just sit with a coffee or tea and read/listen to podcasts. Getting harder and harder to find a convenient privately owned coffee lounge and I despise how Starbucks has monopolized the market!
