El Fogon has been a neighborhood institution going back for over 20 years. Filiberto and his family have been so kind. I've been visiting them probably once a week for many years now. Always the best food and visiting them felt like visiting family. They have been closed now for about two weeks with no announcement or anything and I'm very much hoping that everything is OK with the family.
We came here on a Tuesday afternoon after shopping at Urban Jungle. The staff were attentive and made an effort to ensure we had a great dining experience. The burrito was huge! Chips and salsa were complimentary and we were offered more.
The first time I tried this restaurant was through Too Good To Go, the meal was so delightful I decided to return! Like I stated, not only is the food amazing, the staff is extremely nice and attentive. Please add this restaurant to your list. It’s the perfect spot to eat after your scrounging through clothes at L Train.
