So this is my first and last time ordering from here. The guy you have working this morning has no idea what he’s doing. I asked for an iced cappuccino and was told he could only do it with regular milk when I asked for almond and then was told “you just want a latte”? and even though you can clearly see I don’t want that he proceeded a to say it’s okay and make it. I have major anxiety and don’t feel like arguing this morning. Teach thean how to make a iced cappuccino because I’m literally a student who has worked in coffee shops my whole life~ it’s not that hard

Incredibly attentive and consistent service from Sergio and friends at Techne. Easily my favorite coffee shop in the city. I routinely crave the multigrain and vanilla custard croissants. The cold brew is naturally deep and chocolatey. All of the drinks are well made. Highly recommend.

Surprisingly solid matcha latte with oat milk! The best I could find around this area. I also really liked their Mushroom Quiche. The mushroom flavor was strong and the egg was soft.I was a little disappointed with the veggie empanada tho. It felt a little dry. I wish there were more sauce or cheese inside.
The espresso based drinks are always great, Sergio is fantastic, and overall it’s just a place where you feel right at home. Foodwise, I am a big fan of the empanadas.

Fantastic Cafe off of 13th street and 7th Avenue. Relaxing environment great for studying, reading, and or laptop work. Techne Kafe has a wide range of hot & iced drinks as well as empanadas, quiches, croissant sandwiches, and lots of pastries like cookies, danishes, or tarts. Good for small groups and is family friendly.
