Go early and be prepared to stand. They have security procedures here (for a book talk, nonetheless) that would make TSA jealous! And about half the attendees were standing too. Cool venue but strange vibes.

Security took an unopened protein bar and a few other things because “no outside food.” Kinda BS. Love the moth though!

I recently went to The Bell House for Corey O’Brien’s comedy show, and the experience was incredible! The venue had the perfect mix of intimate vibes and lively energy, making it a fantastic spot for live performances. The staff was friendly and efficient, keeping everything running smoothly. The acoustics were excellent, and no matter where you sat, you had a great view of the stage. Corey’s show was hilarious and engaging, and The Bell House was the ideal place for it. I’d definitely return for another night of comedy or live music. Highly recommend!

Went to the Moth Nyc here - was an amazing experience. The staff here were so welcoming and the guy with the gray beard helped us find a seat in the crowded room.

Had an amazing time at The Bell House for The Moth NYC. Had some trouble finding our seats and Phillip who was working the floor was super helpful and the absolute man!

The people who do security here were so amazing that I told them I would thank them with a review.
Sold out event, and the people getting us through the metal detector were fast but efficient. Took my pepper spray saying they would hold it. I joked to not give my “sweet set-up” spray and holster combo to the wrong guest. Very pleasant people who had a sense of humor and good energy.
When I got in, all the seats were taken and it was standing room only. Philip (security) said hello and we briefly chatted before he continued moving around the room. Noticing I was by myself he offered me his seat which I thought was very kind (especially since it was such a great seat.)
After the show security at the door had my pepper spray and holster and helped me out with how to catch the D train. Really appreciate the good vibes and efficiency from this security team. Not sure I’ve ever had a positive memorable experience from an experience with security until now.

Me and friend came to the bell house for The Moth’s open mic story night!! The event was incredible. It got pretty busy early, so the seats were all filled by the time we got there (30 min early). We stood for a bit (which was totally fine) until one of the incredible staff was kind enough to find seats for us! We hadn’t even asked!! He said their focus is hospitality, and he definitely showed it!! Shoutout to the guy with the grey beard and red hat (I didn’t get his name ?). The event was incredible too! Highly recommend

I recently attended a moth event, and I have to commend the exceptional service provided by Phillip. He went above and beyond!! Whether it was helping with seating arrangements, answering questions, or simply engaging in friendly conversation, Phillip made the event memorable!!

Loved the moth and all of the story tellers and most of all… PHILLIP! <3

Last Sunday I went to see a certain alt-comedic ingenue perform. The show started exactly on time (rude) so my friends and I arrived slightly after it began. We entered through the doors on the far right and it was SRO, nowhere to go. We awkwardly blocked traffic in and out of the space until a charming, kind Bell House employee (Fred? Frank? Sir I’m sorry, my hearing is terrible) beckoned to us to follow him. He led us to the only empty seats in the house—in the elevated “Reserved” section. We got to sit down, get away from the riff raff, and truly enjoy the show. His generosity and attention made our night and we are so grateful for the hospitality. I apologize for not knowing your name but you had a grey goatee and mustache! 10/10. xoxo
