We had a fantastic experience doing a private cooking class with Chef Alex & his team at the Common. Alex was incredibly helpful in setting up and created a special experience for our team. He is extremely welcoming and supportive, and guided us through cooking a 5-course meal in teams. I'd highly reccommend the Common for anyone looking to do a fun event with a team at work or even a group of friends!

Don't let the EXTREMELY GENERIC signage deter you. Their menu is actually quite varied and they're trying a few creative things. American diner food with a Mediterranean twist.I loved their young crispy potato dish with yogurt dip. Portions are huge also!! With very reasonable prices.Overall, very nice atmosphere. Bright sunny windows, cozy front area, books to flip through, and not too crowded.

I found this awesome place in Bay Ridge and it's even bigger than the other. Plus, they serve alcohol drinks now! But what's really cool is that the friendly service and yummy food are still the same. They have this drink called Sparkling Pear Punch that's my favorit now. The place feels really nice, and they've got lots of different things to eat and drink without it being too pricey. You should totally go check it out. I can't wait to go back!

We were walking around and spotted The Common, so we thought, why not try it? And wow, it was awesome! Every bite. Everyone there was super nice, and the food was just great. You really should try the Chicken and Waffle; it's very good. I'm telling everyone, you've got to go to this place.

Amidst the hustle of a busy workweek, I stumbled upon this charming restaurant with its limited seats and intimate ambiance. It felt like entering someone's private kitchen, a personal retreat in the midst of the city's chaos. The attention to detail in sourcing from local purveyors, coffee roasters, and bakers was evident in every bite. A comforting meal paired with a cup of rich, locally-roasted coffee made me forget the stresses of the day, offering a homely haven in the heart of the urban jungle.

Had dinner yesterday at The Common. Great spot. Everything we tried was amazing, especially the crispy torn potatoes and the skillets - they were delicious.

Went for brunch at The Common Park Slope yesterday and it was so good. My buddy and I got skillets and a chicken liver mousse to share, and everything was really fresh and looked great on the plate. The pita bread was toasted just right - never had it so perfect before. Our server was super nice and knew a lot about the menu. She took really good care of us and made our visit amazing. I'm excited to go back for brunch again, and maybe I'll check out their dinner menu next time.

I get the common often since I live close by, but it’s really hit or miss. Often they’re “too busy” for me to place a pickup order? Or they’re out of whatever I’m trying to get. I decided to be brave and try the Dan Dan noodles because it sounded tasty, but as you can see from the photo… I have no idea what this is. This is nothing like any dan dan noodles I have ever had. The brunch food is much better, the American stuff, but it’s just not that great and it’s pretty expensive for what it is. I’ve never dined in, so can’t say as much for the dining experience. The staff are all courteous and nice enough but there’s nothing crazy about the service and I’ve had more or less a neutral to sometimes difficult experience, so I don’t love it. If you’re close by it’s nice, but it’s a solid like 2-3 stars.

On a drizzly Sunday evening, I found myself seeking solace in the warmth of a tiny restaurant tucked away in the heart of the city. The limited seats created an intimate atmosphere, reminiscent of a friend's cozy kitchen. The friendly chef seemed to pour heart and soul into each dish, emphasizing their commitment to locally-sourced ingredients. Sipping on a cup of coffee from a nearby roaster, I felt like I was indulging in a home-cooked meal, a delightful escape from the gloomy weather.
