Coffee is ok, matcha and chai are terrible specially the matcha is chalky and murky and the color and milk ration are not it.

This cafe has a nice quiet vibe and felt great to sit down in to read/work/chill. I also had an almost pastry which was quite good!

Really bad coffee. But it has a lot of space if you're looking for a quiet place to work/study.Even the pastries aren't appealing at all.

The food is good, the service is average, the only bad thing is that the place is small and eating outside is not an option, for me.

My recent visit to The Council Cafe left me feeling a mix of emotions. The ambiance of the place struck me with a unique and somewhat unexpected energy that, while initially off-putting, provided a memorable experience. It's disheartening when faces of a business fail to deliver an exceptional experience, and I hope they consider this feedback for the sake of their future reputation.Despite this, one aspect that stood out was the relaxed and cozy atmosphere of the cafe, creating a cool and inviting space to focus on work or simply unwind. When it came to the coffee, it aligned with the expectations of a typical coffee shop experience—decent but not extraordinary. While the coffee may not have been exceptional, it still served its purpose for those seeking a simple and reliable cup while working or relaxing. In summary, my trip to The Council Cafe left me with conflicting feelings. While the environment lent itself well to productivity, the coffee lacked that special touch that leaves a lasting impression. If you're in search of a laid-back environment to work or study, this cafe may still be worth a visit, albeit with tempered expectations.

Stopped by for a coffee, and it was lukewarm, not much flavor, and powder floating in it. I wound up dumping it out immediately, revealing coffee grounds in the cup. Very underwhelming:/

Very good sandwiches and coffee and tea. The matcha is particularly excellent. They’ve recently changed their menu and added tons of new options and a ton of new pastry options. Egg sandwich, salmon bowl and tuna sandwich are all good options on the menu. I wouldn’t get the eggs florentine, it’s kinda weird here. The vibe is really nice- there’s always sun coming through the large corner windows and they play relaxing chill music.

This isn’t a poached egg dog. Please don’t put a benny on the menu if you don’t know how to make it
