Interesting and well thought selection of spicy cocktails. Small back bar hidden away has a nice vibe if a little stark.

My food score is referring entirely to the drinks. I think the Hidden Pearl might be one of the best cocktail bars in Brooklyn when you compare inventiveness of drinks, lack of pretention, and quality of service.
The A/C is always blasting, the playlists are always fire, and the drinks are entirely unique.
Come early and try the special drinks. Or stay late and try the whole menu. It's a small space that's perfect for a date night, a catchup, or a place to make new friends.

Insane cocktails, lovely staff, intimate cozy location
Cocktail program is the BEST I’ve seen in all of NYC area. So innovative, creative, delicious, and balanced. Chef Lisa is a genius. Every cocktail is so well composed, and there's something for everyone - adventurous, funky, fun? check (curry punch, kimchi chic) - smooth, silky, crushable? check (clarified pandan painkiller) - mocktails too. There are typically some bites (bao buns, crispy rice), but I'll admit, my main draw is the cocktail bar and the talented, friendly, bartenders.

Cozy and warm speakeasy in NYC. It’s hidden in the ramen restaurant. If you like sweet and sour cocktails that’s really yummy, the pandan painkiller is a must have. Tom Ka is another interesting one. The food is also great.

Almost 10 years in New York and hidden pearl still stands out. The cocktails are more innovative than you can find elsewhere and make you appreciate what a great cocktail can be. The entire crew that hosts you are great and I have to give a special shoutout to Lisa who runs the show. This is one of those spots you miss when you move

Great drinks and food. Try the last samurai and the curry punch. The karaage is great and the spicy tuna crispy rice is delicious.

This is now one of my favorite bars in all of NY!!!Tucked Behind a Japanese restaurant in Greenpoint, I didn’t know what to expect.I was truly MIND BLOWN ?I would say to get the the Pandan Painkiller and MMM shot. The Pndan Painkiller was the perfect balance of vanilla and grassy notes, the foam on top was great textural element, it was slightly salty on the sip, the sugar crystals gave it another depth of flavor and slight crunch. Everyone must have this at least once!(I hope I’m describing it correctly. I would just say go try it for yourself)If you make it for happy hour, even better, save yourself $4 bucks on that drink. $13 for happy hour!Sophia was the bartender that day and she was great!(Next time I come I’m trying some of the food too)

This was an amazing experience!!! I love wine. I like cocktails. But at Hidden Pearl, I love cocktails. I’m used too thinking about what I’m drinking in terms of layers and first taste and aftertastes. This is the first time that I’ve had cocktails this layered and subtle and thoughtful! I tried a couple of drinks first. The gin sour (with gin) gets definite kudos. But then I tried the painkiller. It’s one of the best things I have ever had to drink. I literally paid to postpone my flight by a few hours so I could have 1 (or3) more before flying home. Now that I’m home I’m googling things like Pandan. It was such a complex drink that I think I just have to go back.Lisa and Sophia behind the bar were amazing too. I learned things and have a new rum recommendation.I can’t wait to go back!!!
