Japanese soba restaurant Uzuki is one of the best meals I've had so far in 2024, and I love the little personal touches in the decor as well. Service is attentive. Small bites (and def small) are ~$11, soba ranges from ~$26-58 (good portion size), and desserts are ~$10 Here's what we got! - Grilled Soba Miso with Rich Dashi a pretty unusual texture (grainy?), but super umami and tasty. Delicious, indulgent soba in rich duck broth with plum paste - my only wish is that the broth came out piping hot, not warm. There was great depth and flavor, but was it worth the price tag? For a whopping ~$50 lunch for entree + one app split with my party, I am glad I have tried it but will likely return to raku to get my noodle fix.
